A critical but ignored strength of this amazing show
I absolutely love this show. It might be the most amazingly well-crafted t.v. show ever, along many dimensions. I agree with all of the positive comments of other reviewers. I don't have one negative comment to make, even though, I, too, miss Zach and thought he was a terrific character, well-acted. I even think the Daisy character provides an important role in the balance of the cast, as long as she is not there all the time. No show is complete without little jabs from a distracting annoyance. (Remember Eddie Haskell on "Leave it to Beaver?") On the other hand, EVERY review that I read left out what, to me, may be the most important dimension of the show. The unspeakable gore and horrifying plots would be meaningless and perhaps sadistic if regarded as entertainment alone. The scientists, each using his or her unique area of expertise, employ the most subtle of clues to recreate an individual's identity and dignity. In addition, often the victim's family and friends...

STILL THE BEST
BONES is far, and away better than all of the other procedurals on the air. The two leads ( Emily Deschanel, and David Boreanaz ) are hands down the best romantic couple around, and the supporting cast is pitch-perfect. The only disappointment I felt about season 5 was that I had half-hoped that Zach might return. The cases are as gruesome as ever, but are never allowed to take away from the developement of the characters. Can't wait for season 6.

First half of Season 6 was iffy, but the second saved it!
And so as not to spoil anyone, the finale did a great deal to restore my faith in the series as did the episode prior, "Hole In The Heart".While I admit I am a 'shipper for Bones and Booth, plot-device Hannah was *possibly* needed (trying to be positive and give the benefit of the doubt here!) to give Bones and Booth an emotional kick in the butt to see what - or more likely, who - is right in front of their faces. But I won't lie: I was relieved when she left...and David Boreanaz's performance after Hannah's rejection gets major kudos from me. But fate had other plans, in the form of a tragic event with one of the squints and the aftermath that led straight to the finale.And the supporting cast and their stories - most especially, Angela/Hodgins and the birth of their baby - also helped to add to the good and blur the bad, for me.It will be most interesting to see where the final few minutes of the finale takes us for Season 7. In any case, thanks...

Bones does it again!
Season six was a mixed bag for me at one point. It started really good, but I felt that a couple of episodes towards the middle lost me a little. I am happy to say that the second half of the series returned me to being a true bones fan! We are given another fantastic season finale and a really sad plot. The one thing I did love was the character development and how all the small characters that work on the various investigation are going through their own changes. I would say this series has some of my favourite episodes. The very end of season six has left me desperate to find out what is going to happen in season seven. The story continues to evolve, the characters get better and season six was another amazon season.

Outstanding Series and season
Most TV shows start to go downhill by the fourth season either through too many character replacements or repetitiveness of the episodes. Not Bones, out of the entire series I can count the number of episodes I don't like on one hand.This is a great alternative to many of the main stream talked about crime TV series out there. This packs in realism, comedy, action, adventure, mystery, and psuedo-science all into one show with a cast that couldn't be more beautiful or enjoyable to watch week after week.If you haven't seen any of these just buy season 1,2, & 3 you certainly won't be disappointed and it'll give you something to do while you wait for the DVD release of season 4. Also of note is that if you haven't seen season 1,2 or 3 you may be a little lost watching season 4 alone. The writers have done an excellent job maintaing continuity of the story line accross all the seasons so there will be many jokes, comments, and sub-plots that you simply won't...

Best series on TV!
This series is just in a simple word: fabulous! It has everything you could ask for. There's interesting crimes, delightful humor, a fascinating and fantastic supporting cast and of course the two gorgeous leads that have some of the best male/female chemistry to ever grace the small screen. They simply force the viewer to enjoy them as they weave their way toward a personal and loving relationship via their crime-solving opportunities. If ever there were two people made for each other, it is Booth and Brennan.Season 4 brings perhaps the quirkiest and most light-hearted year of the series yet as it begins across the pond with the fabulous duo in Britain while back at the lab the incomparable Zack is replaced by a host of fun and zany lab assistants. Season 4 introduces us to Booth's brother who shows up to throw a wrench into his personal life and eventually help him grow even closer to his maddeningly logical genius of a partner. Bones series
I think that it is the best series ever produced. Absolutely brilliant, unpredictable sometimes, but I was very upset that Zack is not in the series anymore. The series has good humour, great stories; makes you laugh, shudder. I have been watching this with my children who are now 19, and they love it too. We always watch more than one DVD at the same time, and cannot wait for season 4 to be out in DVDs. The actors are good and work well together on screen.

If the fourth season of Bones on DVD gets off to a slightly jumpy start, it's because the first four episodes are missing. They were actually included as a bonus feature on the third season's boxed set, in an effort to pad that truncated season. (However, the Blu-ray version of the fourth season does include all 26 episodes, which originally aired during the 2008-2009 television season.) That said, there's little else to gripe about with this collection. Like many shows revolving around murder, Bones is strewn with body parts--a displaced finger here, a falling leg there. But the gross-out factor often is balanced with humor as Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI special agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) try to figure out whodunit. Though some of the vignettes are on the weak side (a character deciding to become celibate, while another wants to start a family), the overall tone of the show is dead on. This season includes the addition of several new interns, who are vying to fill the spot left by Zack Addy (Eric Millegan). (It was revealed last season that Addy had been working as the apprentice for the serial killer known as Gormogon.) Well developed and also a little eccentric, the interns can give as good as they get as they compete for the job and fit in well with the already established cast.

The cases this season are diverse. One episode delves into the investigation of a pregnant teenage athlete's death that seems to be part of a high school "pregnancy pact," while another finds Brennan and Booth as passengers on a plane where a crisp, burnt body is discovered. And in another, Booth finds himself as the main suspect when a longtime rival is found dead. The simmering chemistry between Brennan and Booth is never lost in the intrigue. Though many TV dramas use the "will they" or "won't they" device to pique viewers' interests, that scenario usually loses momentum by the second or third season. Thanks to some smart writing and sharp acting, this conceit hasn't worn itself out yet on Bones. While the show hints that the two are destined to be together, that plot line isn't exploited this season. --Jae-Ha Kim
