I bought this song after I heard this song at a recent party. I love how she is trying to get rid of that "good girl" image and turn sexy...kinda like Britney Spears. I love it!! guilty pleasure
A little of a Guilty Pleasure for sure. I am so out of MILEY's demographic for sure. I am not "in love" with every song on the CD but I work in the middle of the night and most of this CD keeps me moving. I can see a few of these songs on a workout playlist. She can't be 12 years old forever...
Well, she is growing up (and has been for the last few years). Disney really ought to stop milking the Hannah Montana franchise and let her move on to being just Miley. Let her make an episode where she goes off to college and end the series. There are always new kids to make famous and to be role models for little girls and little boys aged 6 to 14, but Miley is beyond that now. Her last two albums and this one prove that. While much of it is over produced "dance music" along the lines of Christina Aquilera and countless other female pop singers, Miley still has an instantly recognizable voice. I'm older than most fans I'm sure and only listen to her music because the kids of some of the girls I date do, and it is a guilty pleasure to listen and turn up a few tracks in the car and remember what it was like to be 18.Hopefully if she spends a few years away from pop music soon after touring to support this album, she can reinvent herself. It will be interesting to see what...

Miley's Growing Up
This CD is not for the Hannah Montana crowd, it's got a rough edge and is clearly a wish on her part to bring an end to her link with the blond wig. That said, she might just have a career in the more adult music world if she can distance herself far enough from Hannah, but her core fan base is associated with the character and she probably should have done one more CD like her previous one that got her younger fans use to newer music. Actually looking at the talent in her age group she's probably one of the more talented, and this CD is fine for the young adult fan.

Miley all grown up
I think this CD is fantastic! Miley is growing up and these songs reflect the stage in life she is currently experiencing. And I love the mixing a lot of these songs have like "Liberty Walk" -- there's definitely a techno/electro/dance feel to a lot of the songs.I LOVE "Can't Be Tamed." Even though everyone says she wants to be like Britney...I love Britney! Miley does a good job of making it her own song and expressing herself as a young woman.I also like some more of the slow beat songs like "Stay," "Take Me Along," and "My Heart Beats For Love." If you listen to the lyrics closely, a majority being co-written by Miley, they simply express Miley as an 18-year-old woman dealing with relevant issues, like love.I think it's a great CD!

Despite the rather poor reviews I read from the "professional" music critics, whether newspaper or television-based, this CD is anything but a failure in the eyes of this Miley Cyrus fan. Reading the reviews before this album came out left me with a rather negative and concerned vibe upon first sticking this disc in my CD player, but after a single listen I was rather pleased. After a dozen, two dozen, three dozen listens, I felt it would be appropriate to smack the critics aside the head with a frying pan to knock some sense into them, because this album is a strong release, whether or not it follows Miley's Hannah Montana-like pop formula people have come to expect from her.And that's exactly the thing with this release: it's not Hannah Montana and it's not the music we heard on "Breakout." Any parents reading this should make the decision for themselves on whether or not it's appropriate for their child]With that out of the way, I was surprised with the nice treatment this set got in the Deluxe Edition. Usually these consist of a couple B-Sides tracks or remixes from a past album. The deluxe edition here adds a professional concert DVD to the mix for only a couple bucks more!The music itself is a mix of different styles - some pop, classic rock, alternative rock and electronic/techno pop. I found it to be a good mix of everything, but unless you love all genres of music, you'll probably find your few favorites and stick with those (skipping past the others -- for example, most people who like the faster pop/techno songs might just skip the slower pop/classic rock styled songs).
