Case Closed Box sets Whats the difference?!
Ok. So case closed!( also called detective conan) The best anime i know of! is being released in box sets but not just 1 but 2 different kind of box sets. Now dont worry, these sets are exactly the same. the boxing is the thing that makes them different. Case Closed Varidian Collection is less money because its packaging is weaker. its made of plastic. Over all i recomend the varidian collection because its cheaper and its THE SAME EXACT THING AS THE COMPLETE SERIES SET. Also you can tell its the varidian collection by locating the varidian sign on the top left of the box packaging.

THANK YOU FUNIMATION
This hidden little GEM originally aired on the Cartoon Network at the wee hours after midnight. I don't think there is any graphic content (Blood and gore) in the show that required its airtime to be after midnight, but this is the US after all and most Japanese anime shows get censored one way or another if its airing on primetime TV. Needless to say, this show ended up getting canceled way too early and that shouldn't have been the case.I was immediately hooked on the show from the very first episode that I saw. I didn't watch this from episode number one, but was intrigued nonetheless by the plot and murder mystery involved. However, I could never remember the exact show time and at that point in my life, I was too busy with work to have any free time to watch shows that I really liked. Case Closed is probably one of the greatest anime series to grace TV in my opinion. It ranks up there with Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, but it's also in a class all its own since the...

The best anime to learn Japanese
I am bilingual and teach some English and Japanese Case closed uses correct Japanese grammar and words compared with other Anime and the characters speak very often (other anime use weird Japanese). If you force yourself to stick to this anime learning Japanese every day through this, I am sure it will take less than half a year until you start understanding it. Although, only watching it won't help, so looking up and understanding one sentence a day in the anime or other academical approach is needed, for learning Japanese though Anime!

great series
This was a great series, and I really enjoyed watching it. This season seemed to have a lot dealing with Richard's past and had some humorous parts (of course, it is Case Closed). Jimmy makes another appearance, though briefly. There is a rival detective which adds to this show, especially since the new detective is as smart, or at least close to as smart as Jimmy

Awesome Show/Shady Packaging
The show was awesome (especially the episodes with Harley Hartwell) but the case was broken before I even took it out of the wrap :( The snaps that keep it closed had completely snapped off. Maybe they need to start printing "Fragile" on DVD packages...... Luckily, the discs weren't damaged, so still a good product.

Great intro to JFK assassination
My search for JFK assassination material began when I booked a trip to Dallas for a football game. I really didn't have any preconceived notions on whether the assassination was a conspiracy or not. I simply wanted to educate myself on what I would be looking at when I visited the Dallas School Book Depository. After reviewing most of the well known theories on wikipedia.com, I decided to purchase a book that went into depth on why Oswald acted along."Case Closed" does a good job giving the reader an insight on what Lee Harvey Oswald was all about. It also goes in depth on the background of Jack Ruby. Most impressively, Posner does a fantastic job citing where and how his information was obtained. When I finally got the the sixth floor of the Depository, I quickly came to the conclusion that the shot from the window was not a difficult shot to make (esp in 3 attempts). I also made a point to go down to the grassy knoll. I couldn't help but think to myself,...

Product Description

The assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, continues to inspire interest ranging from well-meaning speculation to bizarre conspiracy theories and controversial filmmaking. But in this landmark book, reissued with a new afterword for the 40th anniversary of the assassination, Gerald Posner examines all of the available evidence and reaches the only possible conclusion: Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. There was no second gunman on the grassy knoll. The CIA was not involved. And although more than four million pages of documents have been released since Posner first made his case, they have served only to corroborate his findings. Case Closed remains the classic account against which all books about JFK’s death must be measured. Top to learn more

A strong argument, but it doesn't "close the case"...
There have been several books published in recent years which argue that the Warren Commission's infamous "lone gunman" theory is correct, and that Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, did assassinate President John F. Kennedy. However, "Case Closed" by Gerald Posner is easily the best and most reliable of these "anti-conspiracy" books. Posner offers devastating arguments against many of the "loonier" conspiracy theories - such as that Lyndon Johnson or FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover murdered JFK. He also presents detailed arguments against many of the more "respectable" conspiracy theories, such as that Kennedy was killed by the Mafia or by Anti-Castro zealots who were angry at JFK for "abandoning" them during their CIA-sponsored Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961. However, I don't believe that Posner has completely "closed the case" on the JFK assassination, and I doubt that anyone will ever solve the case to the...

Good overview of the evidence, but has its faults
I've read about 15 books on JFK's assassination, both pro- and anti-conspiracy. I would say that Case Closed presents the most comprehensive overview of all the evidence that implicates Lee Harvey Oswald. However, there really isn't much *new* evidence presented, although that's what the book's editorial reviews say. The real value of _Case Closed_ is that Posner picks from works such as the Warren Commission, HSCA report, the experiments and observations of John Lattimer, etc., and summarizes these into one volume. He supplements those with some interviews he conducted with some of the players (for example, some of the ER doctors who attended to JFK, Jack Ruby's brother, the Soviet official who dealt with Oswald's case, Michael Baden, etc.). On the negative side, Posner does tend to summarily discount witnesses whose stories don't support his lone-assassin thesis, such as Silvia Odio. Also, he writes about several witnesses whose recollections support his theory on what...

Amazing :)
It's really sad that this may be the last dubbed episodes of Case Closed. I first began watching this show when I was around ten years old, and I instantly fell in love with it. It had been a long time since I had last watched Case Closed, but I recently got out some old DVDs of it and watched it with my little sister, thus reawakening my love for it. This is the first season I've ever purchased (I've bought DVDs with a few episodes on it, but never a whole season) and I was very pleased. I loved the case and how the DVDs were cleverly placed inside, and I especially enjoyed all the episodes. You meet knew people, see the old characters, and get to enjoy more amazing mysteries. I also enjoyed the few episodes that had ghouls and mysterious houses in them, and the appearance of Harley's "girlfriend" was a nice treat as well. I found the mysteries in this season amazing as well. I really liked how they kicked off the season with the episode of Jimmy's first...

great series...where is the rest?
This was a great conclusion to a series available in the US currently. I am trying to collect this complete series (including movies), but so few are currently available in this country. The teen-aged detective, turned young child has really got interesting. new rivals, which make even this boy genius have to think hard about what happened. including one which is a Master of disguise which I really want to see how gets brought to justice. Come on, release the next few seasons for us fans in the states

Case Closed Season 4 Viridian Collection Review
I just received this today, and I was so excited to start watching it. I took me about 11 hours to watch all of it, and let me say that it was totally worth every second. But one thing that bothered me is that this season didn't seem to have the same exciting moments the first 3 seasons had. Don't get me wrong, the season is great, its just lacking the same zing that kept you on the edge of your seat. I found myself getting on the computer a few times, and just listening to show rather than watch it, but I was still able to follow what was happening.I now have to get the 5th season so I can spend another day dedicated to Case Closed. If your a fan of the show, then you should definately buy this season.

Varying the length of the mysteries from one to four episodes in the long-running (more than 500 episodes) Case Closed helps to keep the series fresh during the fourth season by allowing the filmmakers to introduce more complex plots and multiple characters. But the overall feel is uneven: While many of the adventures are exciting and innovative, others don't pay off satisfactorily. The way the murder was committed in Episode #93 "Deadly Art" baffles even Conan: Who expects a hi-tech weapon at a flower show? When Richard breaks his leg in Episode #94 "Hospital Homicide" Conan has to handle a gang of bankrobbers-turned-kidnappers completely on his own. The oddest adventure of the season is the four-part "Jimmy Kudo Revealed." Rachel finally realizes that Conan has to be Jimmy: He knows more than any 8- year-old possibly could, but he displays the same gaps in his knowledge as Jimmy. A childhood photo confirms her suspicions: Conan looks exactly like Jimmy (except for the glasses, which he doesn't really need). Conan has his back against the wall when he's saved by the convenient appearance of his actress mother and crime novelist father. Although the quarrelsome pair helps solve an Agatha Christie-style mystery, they're weak, unsatisfying characters. At the end of the story, Rachel's suspicions about Conan just disappear--they're not resolved, but they're never mentioned again. The two most intriguing characters from Season #3 make only brief appearances: Harley Hartwell, the teen detective who recognized Jimmy's deductive powers in Conan, and Conan's nemesis, the magician/cat burglar Phantom Thief 1412 a.k.a. the Phantom Thief Kid. Good episodes overall, but FUNimation disappointed me
I just got the set two days ago and each episode was great. Conan was shown as the tone deaf person he really is and the cases were as good as their manga counterparts, but I was disappointed by the misleading label. In the past, FUNimation has always listed episode that were one-hour long as separate episodes and played it all the way through with no breaks, when you viewed the episode (Moonlight Sonata Murder Case, Mist Goblin, and Phantom Thief 1412, as examples of what they did in earlier releases). However, with this set they took a two-hour long episode and literally separated it into four episodes. It obvious that it was supposed to be 2-hours because they show scenes from the entire episode each of the four times the opening came up. Now, this does not mean that I will not continue supporting the U.S. release of the show, but I feel cheated that they did this, when the box says "unedited/uncut". I'll continue supporting the U.S. release and recommending it to others,...

wow
I liked this dvd set and i think that all the case closed sets are worth the money. Conan and all the charaters are really good and each case is usually a tough one to solve. I also like to look at the dvd set in the original japanese- even if i see the english version first- the japanese version- is better becuase you see the relaitonships are a LOT closer than in our English language- for instance in the japanese versions you see that conan and richard have a good relationship- conan calls richard "uncle" and it is a term of respect---- little points like this really enhance my enjoyment of the show

When you write an option you are selling another investor the right to buy shares from you (in the case of calls) or sell shares to you (in the case of puts) at a predetermined price. That fact, along with the natural erosion in premium because less time was left on the contract, meant that Dad should have been able to buy back the same options contract for a lot less than he had originally sold it for. The trade happened on March 30th and Pfizer was trading a bit above the $22 strike price at the time, so technically Dad wrote &ldquo. s shares were trading close to $22 at the end of last month, an area that has historically represented a major ceiling for the stock. In the case of Pfizer, I saw that the shares had pulled back below $22. Column that said I was going to start helping my dad generate more income from his dividend stocks by writing covered call options against them. s what I told him to do. And based on my recommendation, he closed out his position on April 16th &mdash. In contrast, covered call writing is quite conservative because you are only committing to sell shares that you already own. Like I always point out, it is entirely possible to sell calls without owning the underlying stock, but that strategy is only appropriate for the most aggressive investors &mdash. I initially recommended 200 shares of Pfizer to Dad back in October of 2010, and he purchased them for his $100,000 IRA account at $17. And since we just closed out our first two positions using a special approach that I have not discussed here before, I wanted to give you an update on how things played out. that it looked like a good time to write some options on the Pfizer position. Aim to write two $22 April 21st contracts on Pfizer. (Remember, one contract covers 100 shares of stock.
