A good product with many uses
I purchased mine shortly after buying the lot for my house, to pull saplings and bushes: worked like a charm. Built a garage, and used it to un-rack the frame -- squaring the building. Got my utility trailer stuck in the mud, and used this to pull it out. Snow-thrower died, and I used this to winch it on my utility trailer to take for repairs. Not too bulky, heavy, or expensive -- it sure has bailed me out enough to be one of the last tools I'd ever wish to be without. Highly recommended! george

Good tool for working with trees
Good for working with heavy logs and trunks/stumps (as professional tree services do) in the back yard. I've also used this device to help reposition some very heavy decorative rocks. Very strong... quality built... American made. Would also work well as a gantry hoist too. Recommend

Not Bad For The Money!
We bought this Come-A-Long to pull a cedar tree trunk out of the ground after we had cut all of the roots down to a couple of feet. We did it, even though we just made it.It appears not to have been lubricated during manufacture. It almost galled before I realized it, and sprayed it with WD-40. In addition, it seemed right to the limit of its pulling power as the handle was beginning to bend. We were almost ready to give up when the tree trunk began to move. It was easier from then on.Judging from Come-A-Longs that I have owned in the past, this one would be rated more 2 tons than 5 tons. I would not trust it to lift 5 tons! They claim it is made with hardened steel. Every part I can see is made of stamped sheet steel. However, it does a job and the price is very reasonable.

Vicci Martinez - The Real Winner of The Voice, 2011!!
Yes, this is the same Vicci Martinez who was finalist in the first season of The Voice on NBC. She was the final contender for Team Cee Lo, and in my opinion (as a true lover of many genres of music, spanning decades of listening) was the true winner of The Voice.I believe that anyone who saw her performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where she was ably accompanied by Cee Lo Green, would have to admit that this woman is spectacularly talented. I think the fact that Cee Lo chose to accompany her (performing Come Along) on Leno, and on The Voice May 1, and on this EP and on her album, due June 19, should speak volumes to anyone who is not yet sure about her gifts.As someone who has watched Vicci mature musically, I think I can safely say that she will have much more to offer in the years to come.She has a good back catalog, most available here, that should help the newbies understand her range and craftspersonship, but the EP, and the upcoming album, should...

You need one
If you live in a suburb, you may never need a winch (come along). Other wise, you need one and this is a good choice. I like the way it breaks down and can be boxed for easy carry and storage. Even in the suburbs it will surprise you how many ways this comes in handy and sometimes is a necessity.

I needed a come-a-long to build a chain link fence and this product was very easy to use. Perfect size.However, putting it back into the case was a joke. LOL. Maybe I am no engineer, but the case is now in the garbage.
