Love This Sampler of Dark Chocolate
I bought this assortment of Ghirardelli Intense Dark chocolate. It's a combination of 60%, 72% and 86%--anything above 60% is recommended by nutritionists as being positive for health benefits. An ounce a day is great. It's a non-guilty pleasure. As a friend said, "Chocolate is a vegetable--it's a bean!" These are not too bitter for my taste and silky and smooth. I'm quite satisfied with a small amount after dinner as the flavor is intense and lasts. This chocolate is an affordable, healthy and daily treat.

Favorite Dark Chocolate
These are very high quality, and especially good when you want to cut back on all the sugar that comes in the various fillings and milk chocolate found in their other varieties of squares. Very satisfying chocolate flavor without much regret. The photo at the time of this review shows one of the three flavors is Mint Bliss 60% Cacao, but my experience (and that of another reviewer as well) was that the mint flavor is replaced with Midnight Reverie 86% Cacao. The other two flavors are correct: Evening Dream 60% Cacao and Twilight Delight 72% Cacao. Still an excellent bag of chocolates, worth 5 stars, but I have to take off a star due to the misrepresentation, which has persisted for over a year.

Delicious!!
I just discovered this candy at Walmart and only bought one bag to see how I liked it. I wish I'd bought more! I love almost any combination of fruit and chocolate and these sweet-but-tart little morsels are a superb example of how delicious that blend can be. Perfect blend of tart and sweet
I got some of these chocolates in December, and just ordered a replacement bag (because two pounds of chocolate should not be consumed quickly :). They are fantastic. It is high quality chocolate (nothing chalky or waxy) and tart pomegrante juice. 20 pieces to a serving, giving you 180 calories and 65 calories from fat.

Almost "healthy" chocolate
I've found this chocolate to be a great solution for my low carbohydrate diet. This chocolate only has 5g net carbs per serving, but I find half a serving to be plenty satisfying for a chocolate fix. Also, this has no artificial sweeteners, so I don't have to worry about digestive problems.If you don't like dark chocolate, you won't like this. But if you're willing to savor the cocoa flavor, this is a great way to eat a small amount of chocolate without a lot of sugar.

Lindt Extra Dark Choc.
These chocolate bars are made with 85% extra dark chocolate. You have to acquire a taste for it because the darker the chocolate, the less sugar it contains. You have to acquire a taste for it because when you taste it for the first time, it has a slightly bitter taste. It took me less than a week to start enjoying the taste. Now, I find I don't care for regular chocolate because it's too sweet. It's also a much healthier chocolate to eat.

New Formula. Double the Carbs!!
This WAS a great product. It was great tasting and it had a crazy low amount of carbs compared to most anything else out there. For people who need to manage their carb intake, this was a real treat and there wasn't much else out there that compared. There is, I found on receiving my latest shipment, a new formula and the carb count has almost doubled from 8g per serving to 15g. This might not matter to most people but for some it can be a critical issue. I imagine it still tastes great with all the extra sugar and milk or whatever they've added but, unfortunately, this product no longer serves the niche it once did. Where it once was this great-tasting, low-carb indulgence, it's now just one of ten million sugary things out there.

Delicious, organic, and fair trade too!
I am a chocoholic who loves very dark chocolate. I have always been eager to sample new brands whenever I find one that has a rating of 75% or higher. Endangered Species Black Panther is the best I have ever tasted. Some dark chocolate over 80% is bitter or dry, but not this one. Even those in my family who normally don't like the very darkest chocolate like the smooth creamy taste of this one. I am now totally spoiled and feel deprived if I have to eat any other kind of chocolate.In addition, a couple of years ago I decided I would no longer buy chocolate that was not "fair trade", that is chocolate that was made from beans that were harvested without exploiting children and other low-paid workers. What a delight to find that this particular fair trade product also happens to be the most delicious as well.

Everyone Wins With This Product
Premium chocolates (such as Black Panther) have much character and subtlety in their flavor, with aromas that are fruity and spicy. Besides being a fine taste, you can feel good about eating this because it is rich in healthful antioxidants, is grown so as to protect the environment, and is "fair-traded" to give the farmers a break. In addition, 10% of net profits go to help endangered species or indigenous peoples.This chocolate is barely sweet, but more sweetness would detract from the intense flavor, as well as raise the glycemic index that we're better off without. It's even easier on your teeth.Although I'm giving BP 5 stars, it's really about 4.6 so as to leave room for the indescribable chocolate dream varietal Ocumare.

Like a Glass of Wine
Just wanted to add my vote for this as the best extreme dark chocolate I've tried. It really isn't for those who are expecting sweet dark chocolate. Like those who posted 1-star reviews of "Yuk!", I made the mistake the first time of snapping off a row and chomping down on a piece... what a shock to the tastebuds! But there was -something- there, so I didn't throw it out. I simply nibbled on the rest of it, and what a difference! It was suddenly just sweet enough, with an intense, very satisfying chocolate flavor. The "extreme" in the bar's name isn't there for exaggeration! So if you want something more like a nice glass of wine to be savored slowly rather than a glass of grape juice to be chugged, give this bar a try.

Dark & Delicious :)
This is a great chocolate to let melt in your mouth, slowly, and just savor for the sake of chocolate - nothing else. I'm not a big dessert fan. I don't even go gaga for chocolate often. Absolute Heaven
I am a chocolate fan, I love milk chocolate but I love dark chocolate as well. I saw this and purchased it and I have to say I am superbly delighted. You have to be a dark chocolate fan to really enjoy this, though. Its crisp, it snaps, it has a warm melt in your mouth velvety appeal yet is very bold and in your face. I am also pleased about the ingredients as there is not a whole lot to them. I really loved this chocolate and will be purchasing it again.
