Case Closed Box sets Whats the difference?!
Ok. So case closed!( also called detective conan) The best anime i know of! is being released in box sets but not just 1 but 2 different kind of box sets. Now dont worry, these sets are exactly the same. the boxing is the thing that makes them different. Case Closed Varidian Collection is less money because its packaging is weaker. its made of plastic. Over all i recomend the varidian collection because its cheaper and its THE SAME EXACT THING AS THE COMPLETE SERIES SET. Also you can tell its the varidian collection by locating the varidian sign on the top left of the box packaging.

This hidden little GEM originally aired on the Cartoon Network at the wee hours after midnight. I don't think there is any graphic content (Blood and gore) in the show that required its airtime to be after midnight, but this is the US after all and most Japanese anime shows get censored one way or another if its airing on primetime TV. Needless to say, this show ended up getting canceled way too early and that shouldn't have been the case.I was immediately hooked on the show from the very first episode that I saw. I didn't watch this from episode number one, but was intrigued nonetheless by the plot and murder mystery involved. However, I could never remember the exact show time and at that point in my life, I was too busy with work to have any free time to watch shows that I really liked. Case Closed is probably one of the greatest anime series to grace TV in my opinion. It ranks up there with Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, but it's also in a class all its own since the...

The best anime to learn Japanese
I am bilingual and teach some English and Japanese Case closed uses correct Japanese grammar and words compared with other Anime and the characters speak very often (other anime use weird Japanese). If you force yourself to stick to this anime learning Japanese every day through this, I am sure it will take less than half a year until you start understanding it. Although, only watching it won't help, so looking up and understanding one sentence a day in the anime or other academical approach is needed, for learning Japanese though Anime!

Not my favorite, but still enjoyable
This is an interesting addition to the Detective Conan/Case Closed series, one that I think fell a little below my expectations. I am a major fan of the series, and the rest of the movies I've seen (including the movie that came after this one) were all very good. 'Captured in Her Eyes' is similar enough in content and plot to the other movies and TV shows, yet I just didn't enjoy it as much. Perhaps it had to do with how the murderer's identity was fairly obvious from the character introductions and the monologue of Inspector Meguire in the hospital. Or it may have had something to do with how the mystery was almost background to the storyline of Rachel Moore (Ran Mouri) losing her memory due to mental trauma. The trauma induced amnesia was another problem in itself, as I just couldn't see Rachel's character reacting to the circumstances that way. I'm not even going to go into the whole amusement park end scene debacle, as that whole setup was just slightly ridiculous.In...

In this movie, police detectives are being killed by somebody that is connected to the police. For this reason, the higher-ups wants to keep things quiet, but at the wedding reception for the sister of one of the police, Ran witnesses the killer's attempt to kill Detective Sato (Simone). As a result, she loses her memory and Inspector Megure (Inspector Meguire) finally tells Kogoro Mouri (Richard Moore) the details of the case. Meanwhile, the culprit tries to kill Ran (Rachel Moore). Now, Shinichi (Jimmy Kudo (Conan Edogawa))has to track down the cop killer and protect Ran.This movie was definitely better than the last. It was very good and the ending is still as interesting as it ever was. My only complaint is again about Haibara's voice. Amazing :)
It's really sad that this may be the last dubbed episodes of Case Closed. I first began watching this show when I was around ten years old, and I instantly fell in love with it. It had been a long time since I had last watched Case Closed, but I recently got out some old DVDs of it and watched it with my little sister, thus reawakening my love for it. This is the first season I've ever purchased (I've bought DVDs with a few episodes on it, but never a whole season) and I was very pleased. I loved the case and how the DVDs were cleverly placed inside, and I especially enjoyed all the episodes. You meet knew people, see the old characters, and get to enjoy more amazing mysteries. I also enjoyed the few episodes that had ghouls and mysterious houses in them, and the appearance of Harley's "girlfriend" was a nice treat as well. great series...where is the rest?
This was a great conclusion to a series available in the US currently. I am trying to collect this complete series (including movies), but so few are currently available in this country. The teen-aged detective, turned young child has really got interesting. new rivals, which make even this boy genius have to think hard about what happened. including one which is a Master of disguise which I really want to see how gets brought to justice. Calling all Wannabee detectives . . .
Of course there is a lot of comedy and a lot of romance and back story but the part that I find really interesting are the cases. This is about 16/17 year old Jimmy Kudo one of the greatest detectives you can think of. You can not beleive the cases he can solve! After witnessing a crime these men in black give him a poison that should kill him but it shrinks his body into that of a 6 year old. Until he can find the men in black that shrunk him, he (taking on the alias of "Conan" since if the men find out his real idenity they will kill him and the ones around him,) solves these ridiculusly hard cases. If Sherlock Holmes was alive he would struggle to solve them! Conan is put under the care of Jimmy's wannabe girlfriend and her 'stupid', 'not perceptive' detective father and Conan/Jimmy solves the cases for him. In the first volume the cases he solves are hard but relativly simple, but later on they have these cases that even if the pulprit walked around with a sign saying he...

Conan Edogawa, the hero of the popular series Case Closed (originally Meitantei Conan, "Famous Detective Conan," 1996) is a high-school sleuth trapped in an elementary school body. Thugs involved in a blackmail payoff gave 17-year-old ace detective Jimmy Kudo a poison that turned him into a little boy. To disguise himself, Jimmy took the name of Conan Edogawa (from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Japanese mystery writer Ranpo Edogawa) and moved in with his former girlfriend Rachel Moore and her addled detective father Richard.
