If you like eucalyptus oil this is one of the best. I have a little gym in my garage and I like spraying it in there when I workout. Or if I go to a spa in my area I like spraying in the sauna and steam room. I've been buying the NOW brand for years. Pure oil. And buying it through Amazon was the best price I've found on my web search.

Eucalyptus Oil
Wonderful essential oil - great product! Clean, pure and unadulterated with other oils or additives. Great for use for upper respiratory congestion or sinus infections. Anecdotally, I have successfully treated myself and my four children for stubborn sinus infections that have re-occurred, despite antibiotics, by swabbing the inside of the nostrils with a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of Eucalyptus oil twice/day. Also just breathing vapors helps. It can be diluted with a bland oil, such as almond or olive oil for sensitive skin. Should be used with caution, however, in asthmatics. Can be added to distilled water in a spray bottle and sprayed throughout house during "cold season".

Good Value for Oft-Used Oil
I'm a fan of NOW Foods essential oils in general. I think they tend to be a fair price for a good, reliable quality product. Over the years, I've had only one "suspect" oil from NOW, and was able to get a quick, satisfactory solution to my problem.Eucalyptus oil is undoubtedly one of the essential oils I use the most, particularly in the winter to help combat colds and congestion. The large, 16 oz container of oil doesn't have a dropper included, which makes sense to me because essential oils degrade plastic (quite rapidly, too!). It takes me a looong time to get through the whole bottle, and I've no doubt that if I kept a dropper lid on the bottle, it'd be rendered useless before the oil was depleted. The mouth of the bottle is large enough for my 1/4 and 1/2 tsp measuring spoons to fit easily, so I use those to keep spills to a minimum when I'm mixing my little blends.As far as usage goes, I'm leery of using most essential oils undiluted on my skin...

Better than the 365 brand stuff at Whole Foods
I bought a bigger bottle for a better price at Whole Foods after this one ran out. The Whole Foods brand Eucalyptus Essential Oil, for some reason, doesn't smell as good or strong as . Great to Add to your Vicks Vapo Rub!
Vicks Vapo Rub is not longer "Vixie!" A few years ago it seems they changed the formula to one that is far less effective. I bought this Eucalyptus oil and now add a drop or two to on top of my schmear of Vicks. It increases it's effectiveness and even with my sensitive skin, hasn't been too strong as to leave any red marks or anything. I'm still mad at Vicks, but at least this fixes it. ;)

Here's how to use this as a shampoo, among other uses.
I didn't see many reviews talking at length about using this as a shampoo, so I thought I would add one. Expect my personal experiences and opinion, identified as such, mixed in.I use this soap for shampoo, body wash, face wash, I put it in my bath, I've used it to clean my counters, I've used it to clean dishes. The peppermint is my favorite, especially for soaking in the bath because it tingles and it's the best scented in my opinion, also for shampoo, again because it tingles.To clean, I put a little on a damp terry cleaning cloth or kitchen towel and just wipe. I use it on kitchen and bathroom counters, and I dissolve it in water to mop with. I prefer to use the tea tree for cleaning.As a shampoo, I am puzzled by all the claims I had heard online about castile soap/saponified oil being drying to the hair, and I suspect that many of the people making those claims either haven't tried it and are just perpetuating the general misconception, or...

Wonderful natural soap
The reviews that say this smells like tar, I'm puzzled by.Anyone buying tea tree oil soap, one would think, is buying it because of its antiseptic properties, in which case, one would think that you would know that tea tree oil smells strongly. I dont understand why people would buy the tea tree oil soap expecting it to smell like flowers... thats just silly.I dont know about "tar" though. It smells like tea tree oil, which is sort of minty, strong smell, I dont find it unpleasant, myself.I like the smell of tea tree!Anyway, I bought this soap to be an antiseptic soap to wash my piercings and keep them clean and free of infection, and thats what this soap does. Its Gentile, cleansing, and it kills germs, what else do you need soap to do?This soap is very thin, but dont be fooled! a little goes a LONG way. I use a tiny drop to wash my hands, and a Qtip to wash my ears. It lathers a lot, and you dont need a ton of it...

Best cleaner for leather goods!!
This soap not only smells wonderful, but this and all castile soaps are the best leather cleaners in the world!! I use this on my saddle, bridle, and leather boots. The reason it cleans leather so well is because it doesn't strip any natural oils from the leather or add unwanted extra oils either!! Plus, it doesn't leave leather goods too sticky!! Saves my sinuses
I add a few drops of this to my humidifier when I have a cold and I breathe better all night. I can really tell a difference when I don't use it, waking up stuffy and with a headache. A little bit goes a long way! If you wake up "mouth-breathing" because of a stuffy nose, give this a try with a humidifier.

Better than expected!
I was making fabric bags filled with flax seed and various smells to use in the microwave or freezer. I wanted a lavender bag and a peppermint/eucalyptus. After a bunch of looking around, I decided to try this one.When it came, I was shocked at the amount. For some reason I was expecting a couple handfuls, and got several dozen handfuls. When I was sifting through it, I noticed how fresh it looked, even dried, and the smell was wonderful. I mixed it in with the peppermint from the same company (and same great quality) and put that with the flax in the bag. It didn't take much to make it smell good (about a tablespoon of each per cup of flax). After being used again and again in the microwave, it still smells like it did the first day. I'm very pleased with the quality, and plan on buying only this brand in the future.Even the room I store it in smells fabulous.

Eucalyptus is an enormous and fascinating genus. It comprises over 700 species, and accounts for more than two-thirds of Australia's vegetation. It is unfortunate that they are frequently regarded as not being reliably hardy outside of the subtropics, because it discourages people from planting them in cooler areas. There are many reasons to plant a eucalyptus--to begin with, they help to control aphids and other insects, most of them will grow rapidly, even in poor soil (12' per year is not out of the question), and most of them are very attractive--eucalyptus have a beauty all their own. And eucalyptus foliage, which shows incredible variety, is excellent for cut foliage in floral arrangements. Unless it is to be grown as a pot plant for its entire life (more on that below), a eucalyptus seedling must be planted as soon as possible, before too many roots reach the edges and bottom of its pot. Good product 16/20 seeds germinated
I purchased these seeds despite the mixed reviews. The packaging was adequate and I followed the written directions word for word. I was able to get 16 of the 20 seeds to germinate over a two month period. I did have to pull one seedling due to a fungus so I did not infect the rest of the plants. I am transplanting the seedlings now but overall I am very satisfied with the results. I used a mix of an organic seed starter and desert sand (50/50) and watered them once a week. Both were purchased locally.

Looking up
Hi folks. Im from south dakota. We get bad snow and ice storms here each year so this plant will definitely be remaining potted for its life. I do landscaping for the university of south dakota and most will be donated to the school once mature. I use a shallow and wide square pot with a professional seeding mix. Put the seeds on top of the soil as directions indicated. Took awhile but we finally have signs of life 5 seeds sprouted out of the 20 so far. However many of the other seeds we started are being sluggish as well and we think it might be the seed starting mix. We use a warming table set at 75 degrees and i cant stress how important this is for a plant like this. You must be able to keep the soil tempterature up fairly high. As they get older i will come back with pictures of how they turned out. =)

difficult to grow
The other review that talked about the seeds being powder was half right. they are VERY small seeds, mixed in with a powder-like something. i have bought two 'packages' of these seeds, and from the first set, i got one sprout straight away. i think i over watered it though and it died. these seeds seem REALLY hardly to germinate, and is that the fault of the seller? we'll see what happens with the second batch, but growing stuff from seeds is hard. especially these. keep the soil pretty dry, and a little sandy.
