We have had these bags for over a year. We use them every week when we go food shopping, for all sorts of produce, as well as nuts and other items from the bulk aisle.We use them to transport from store/market to home and then for carrying nuts around during the day for snacking.They have been proven as very durable.We use other products for storing produce, which are specifically made for that purpose.Our store has a scale in the aisle which creates a label. We print the label and then stick it onto the cord (on top of the other labels) - {another option would be to use an index card with previous trips' labels stuck on it, most recent on top, and binder- clipped to the bag/cord} - for scanning at the cashier. This way, it's easy for them to scan and we can remove it (cut labels off cord, or remove binder clip) for washing.These are great bags and much better (eco-friendlier and integrated cord, so no twisties) than using a...

Get asked about these bags all the time.
I have been using these bags for a few months and get asked all the time where I purchased them. I have been taking my own reusable grocery bags for a while and always felt bad about still using plastic for produce. They are holding up well so far and wash well. You can see through the bags, so the grocer can see the tags easily when making your purchase. The last time I was at the local natural grocer, the checker asked again where I got them and wrote the name down. They may want to carry them in the store, since they get asked for something like this often. By the way, the Flip & Tumble Reusable Tote - Brown grocery bags are great, too. I always have one in my bag so that I am not often left without a reusable bag.

LOVE these bags
These bag are fantastic, exactly what I've been looking for. They are made from a high-quality cotton, have the capacity of a paper bag, and have nice long handles that easily go over your shoulder. And the bottle sleeves are genius.With three bags, they are only about $8/piece, which is a bargain if you look at some of the other trendy ones out there. I can't say enough good things about them.

Nice heavy duty construction and thoughful design!
These bags are of nice quality and are super functional. The compartments are a smart feature. They are a nice heavy weight canvas. Very easily decorated if you choose to. I have ironed on graphics and used puffy paints and it has turned out well!

Nice bags... but not 5 stars.
I'm a cashier, I've seen a lot of bags. If you want your bags filled fast and well - these are much better than the flimsy windbreaker-fabric bags. Whenever someone has those bags, they fumble around trying to unfold them (a lot of times they are folded/wadded up into pouches), and then they are difficult to fill because they don't stand up on their own. It takes longer, it's sloppier, and since the bags don't have a square bottom everything gets crushed together when the bag is picked up.Compared to the reusable bags sold by Walmart/Target/etc. these are bigger - they are also tall and narrow. If you are going to get a lot of large boxy things (toys, cereal, paper towels, kleenex boxes) these bags would be a great size. They would be too big for a lot of yogurt/baby food/makeup sized items.These bags are well made (they are not too stiff, not too soft - sewn well - reinforced seams), the reason I'm not giving them five stars is because they don't have the...

handles not as long as pictured
While the bags are good quality, and the snap closure is a bonus, the handles fall short.. literally. They are pictured as long handles as if you could throw the bag over your shoulder easily, but that is not really the case. The handles are shorter than expected which leaves me debating whether to be keep the bags or return them because I'm not sure i'll get much use out of them without a longer handle..

Good buy
These bags are like most bags you can buy at the grocery store, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. They're sturdy, have an insert to add structure and strength to the bottom, and have strong handles. I am able to pack a lot of groceries or other shopping goods into these bags. I like these bags better than my other bags mostly for the fun colors; I use them as Christmas gift bags. On the negative side, the bags smell awful when you first open the box. If let the bags air out for a few days the smell will go away.

I like this set
I found this to be more than enough for shopping. I actually use them elsewhere. I will put baby toys in one to carry it around house, if I goto pool I will bring one. They are very handy. "A world of thanks"
The bags could have gone without coming with "a world of thanks" and a globe printed on them because the printing is of such horrible quality and the bags look as if they want you to remove the plastic bottoms so that you can fold them. I have left the plastic bottoms in place and folded them around the bottoms(the way it should have been done). These are the same bags you see at walmart and grocery stores that are not made from cotton. they are a type of plastic and made in china... two strikes for these bags but for the price... they are light weight (unlike cotton canvas bags)and you can go to any grocery store without having the logo of a different store on the outside of the bag. Great bags!
There is one case for the three bags. Each bag individually wraps up into a tiny package, which is great because you don't have to worry about losing the carrying case. Getting three bags is a good deal, because you can leave them in different places - one in the diaper bag, one in my coat pocket, one in my purse. Really cool design, too!

I use these whenever I go shopping - they add almost no room or weight and are quick to fold. I also use them traveling as packing organizers - folded clothes get organized and stacked in these and then packed, and stay folded much better than when everything is loose. When I get where I'm going, they're back to being shopping bags again and I'm never stuck asking for paper or plastic. It's nice that I can always have a spare with me. They went on a 5 mo round-the-world trip with us and still no holes or tears.I also like how nice looking the bags are.Since these are no longer available, the Chico recycled PET shopping bags seem like a good alternative.

LOVE THESE -- my favorite reusables so far.
Bought these to supplement my growing supply of reusables....I have many of the freebie, typical fold-up, boxy, grocery bags from various stores, but they aren't washable, so I have been looking for alternatives. These Waste-less bags are, so far, my favorite. I also have some flip and tumble reusable bags, which are also GREAT, but don't hold quite as much as these -- though I prefer the longer handles on the Flip and Tumble bags, the handles on the Waste-less Bags are sufficient to sling over my shoulder as long as they aren't filled to capacity. The fabric is light-weight but strong, and they conveniently fold up, literally, to pocket size with a nice little velcro strap to secure them. I keep a couple in my purse and also in my diaper bag...wouldn't leave home without them. For an idea of size and capacity -- I fit 5 boxes of frozen waffles and a 3 lb. bag of fruit in a single bag today. LOVE these. The price is right, so why not?Update, post washing...
