Bunny really loved it
Once I removed the plastic from the bale, it was still bale shaped, but it shed hay very easily. My bun loved this hay and would try to get to where I kept the bale during her hop time. (she wasnt hurting for food). Like the last reviewer said, the hay ids cut ready short and has a lot of dust. I didn't particularly mind, but I see someone else finding this very annoying. My bunny really, really, really liked this hay, thats why I'm giving it for stars.

Rabbits love, but dusty and messy
I was a little disappointed when I received this mini bale because it just looked like a tightly wrapped bag of hay. The hay itself is very soft, but cut into short, 1 inch pieces with lots of dust when you handle it. My rabbits gobble it up, but I have to put it into a bowl instead of their litterbox because the pieces are so fine they would probably get lost in between the litter. I also ordered APD's first-cut Timothy hay and it's completely different -- much longer and easier to feed in quantity. Don't know if it's the mini-bale or just how 2nd cut hay is, but I won't be buying this again since it's so dusty my bunnies have had sneezing episodes when they eat it. Also with the price being much more than a regular bag of hay, it's just not worth it.
