One of my favorite seasons-Jenny is great!!
The fifth season of The L Word was probably my second favorite aside from the first season. I loved Jenny's character in this season. She became even more outrageous but I thought she was funny and cute at the same time. The idea of watching them make her book into a movie was great! Because she finally got her book published and now having studios fighting over the rights to her movie...her spoiled girl act was my favorites of all. I don't want to give away any spoilers but I can't believe what Adele did! There's that saying: always watch out for the quiet ones and wow, is that true in this case. The only thing I didn't care for was having Marlie Matlin back in this season. For some reason, I thought she was leaving after the end of the fourth season. I miss Kristanna Loken, who played Shane's love interest in season 4. But Shane is Shane, as I noticed at the end of seasons 3, 4 and 5. But as a Jenny fan, I really liked this season. Even after watching a week's episode, I couldn't...

Best season yet...
I'm a huge Tibette fan!! I never seen any other actors/actresses who have the best chemistry on screen, like JB and LuH. So after all the drama, the heartache, FINALLY my favorite coupLe in the show are BACK TOGETHER! And hope this time it'll stick! Lots of Laughter this season which I Love! and much more Tibette's Love this season as well! I can't wait to own this DVD! Most importantly, can't wait for the new season, which sadly would be the Last one. I don't know what I'd do when the show ended, although there will be a spin-off, but still don't know which character. Love the L word! :)

storyline good but lacks enthusiasm and appeal
After watching Season 5 and comparing it with other seasons, the storyline is still good and entertaining. However in this season I lack enthusiasm, emotional appeal - as if the emotional connection between the characters has weaked. I don't know if it depends on how the actors are directed or that the viewers is not drawn deeply enough into the lives, feelings and issues of the characters as in previous seasons. In some of the episodes the storyline is abrupted, and the viewer just see the outcome but now how something happened (took place). Overall L-word is worth watching and has a few funny episodes and scenes like the mud wrestling.

and i can't wait till Season 6 of The L Word January 4th, 9:00 Sunday. Ok so i have been reading and watching some spoilers of The L Word season 6. i mean don't get me wrong Shane and Jenny would make a great couple cause they make each other happy and the seem right but Shane and Carmen are just so great together. which i did not like the fact that Shane and Jenny were kissing cause Shane and Carmen are suppose to be together. that don't seem like a right couple but hay if Helena like it i love it. but what bothers me the most it Shane.

It truly is a great series, despite the glamorous and beautiful people with glamorous and beautiful jobs. I ordered the first season thinking mostly about the possible sex and nude scenes I would find, as explicit porn is not exactly allowed where I am. I found what I wanted, but what I really didn't expect was how into the show I would get. I think that this show is awesome and is well worth the money to watch it. I also really enjoyed the beginnings of each episode with a something that happened in the past that directly relates to the episode. I have already watched the 2nd and 3rd season and have pre-ordered the 4th. I have nothing but positive things to say, and I may not be knowledgeable about the lesbian community to have my own facts 100% valid, but I thought this was great exposure for someone like myself who never knew a thing about it, and it's just...

The themes dramatized are universal: in addition to those already mentioned, these include the fear of disaffection of a loved parent (Bette's father, Melvin: performed by Ossie Davis who was nominated for an Emmy for his brilliant turn as... One example, the Bette and Tina (Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman: fiery chemistry) saga remind one of Bergman's "Scene's From A Marriage" as this couple struggles with issues of sexual inertia, miscarriage, infedility, the loss of self to a... The friends have kind of gone seperate ways (Shane and Jenny are practically best buds, which I LOVE by the way) Alice and Dana become lovers, Bette is on her own for the most part, which I'm glad of, and Tina is with THE biggest div ever lol. Every interaction and every character is presented in a very fresh and original way, so that you never feel like they're reusing material and you're always glued to the TV screen to find out what happens next. Tina and Alice walking to Tina's Lawyer's spare guest house. There are shows that have some characters that, you know, they're okay, but you find yourself wishing for them to get back to one of the more entertaining characters. Can't really put my finger on what I feel about this second season. This season delves more deeply into the lives of the L. A framily.
