Not your averge lead ingot
One of the nicer lead ingots I've purchased. Seems better than the listed 99.9% purity. Ordering lead can be somewhat addictive. Shipping is a killer though. Will post a thorough video review when time permits.

Very good source of lead
It was as advertised - pure lead. I like to shoot Civil War reproduction rifle muskets in competition and have to have pure lead for minies. If the lead isn't pure - they won't shoot and it is that simple. The pure lead that I received worked just fine in my practice. I am looking forward to the next competition. The lead also arrived promptly. I didn't have to wait but a few days.

It's NOT just lead.
Fourty years of bullet casting and this is the nicest alloy it has been my pleasure to use. My bottom pour pot didn't make it to a new location, a couple of moves ago; so its back to a little 10 lb. pot, single burner propane stove, a dipper and, of course the moulds. I WAS satisfied with the bullets I was producing with my old recipe, but not after using this alloy! It is very clean, and stays that way with minimal fluxing. I was getting better quality casts, in six fillings of one of my moulds, than what I used to pay for. Once I found the temperature that mould likes, culls were very few and far between. This is now my alloy of choice. No more stopping to pick up wheel weights in the street!

Good starting point for lead guitar
Actually, this is a book for beginners. Exercises are written in TAB notation so it's easy to read.It covers basic techniques (hammer-on & pull-off, slide, bend, vibrato, staccato, palm muting, and more) with special emphasis on avoiding unwanted noise from other strings: sounding clean. These techniques are also included in but I'd better start with 'Metal Lead Guitar Primer'.It also introduces you into rhythm sense covering up to sixteenth notes, eighteenth & quarter note triplets, rests and rhythmic patterns.CD includes two songs to solo over (very nice).If you don't sound clean when soloing or you're starting from the beginning as lead player, try this book, take a metronome and master the included techniques before going into Volume 1 & 2 (I highly recommend them) or other...

A great book for aspiring metal guitar players!
I played guitar some in college, but I never developed into a serious player. Much of the problem was that I didn't take the time to learn proper technique. I decided to take up guitar again and this time I decided to take a more serious approach to playing. I ordered Troy Stetina's book since it teaches metal guitar techniques, which is the style I'm interested in. Needless to say, it was money well spent.I've been praticing an hour or two a day for two weeks and I've seen significant improvement in my playing skills. This book introduces the techniques necessary to play lead guitar, such as hammer-ons, pull-offs, vibrato, string bending, and palm muting. It also introduces basic guitar techniques such as how to hold a guitar, picking, and most importantly, how to mute strings which is essential to playing clean. Another Great Book from Troy Stetina!
Once again, Troy Stetina has written an awsome guitar book. Metal Lead Guitar skips the small stuff that most guitarists already know and goes straight to the techniques you need! And, this is the first book that I have seen with a section for learning to use the wammy bar! This book is slightly challenging, so I do not reccommend this if you are new to guitar, but if you have the basics down and hopefully a little more, BUY THIS BOOK! You will fall in love with it!

Top Shelf learning material.
Before you spend a lot of money on learning how to really make a guitar take off like a rocket, try a book by Troy Stetina. After purchasing this book and "Speed Mechanics For Lead Guitar" I put seven or eight hundred dollars worth of other instructional material on the shelf. The lower shelf. Troy Stetina is not only one of the finest guitar players around, he is also the best teacher I have found. He disproves the old saying "Those who can't do, teach".

Tough, reliable and long lasting
I have chosen this sharp pencil after a vigilantly careful 3-4 hour session in a department store.I went into several stores and compared all the mechanical pencils they had at that time.I took 10+ pencils for a ride (CDT, Cross, Faber Castell, Mitsubishi Kuru Toga, Ohto Promecha, Parker, Pelikan, Pilot, Pentel Graph Limited 1000, Rotring, Staedtler 885, Zebra Tect 2way etc. ).For whatever reasons drawing with the Graphgear 1000 just feels right the very moment you take this pen into your hand.When I made my decision I decided for the feature I REALLY need for a long term relationship. ;-)While the "obvious" feature would certainly include the visual design you will be surprised to find out how much more there is to it, as I will elaborate below.Hard factors:1) Heavy usage of hand and/or rheumatoid arthritis:If you or a good friend happen to play guitar daily for many hours and take notes at the same...

Best Pencil I've Ever Used
These things are great. A bit expensive for a pencil but worth it. The thickness of the pencil is just right, and the spring loaded retractable clip is great. The tip doesn't wiggle around like a lot of drafting pencils with retractable tips.The pencil itself is built really well too. The plastic parts are all high quality and the metal parts fit together perfectly. When you shake it all you hear is the lead moving around, there's no parts rattling at all unless the tip is retracted. Very tight construction.Also unlike other drafting pencils this one actually has a decent sized eraser. I still carry around a block eraser but this one is actually big enough I don't hesitate to use it like I do with my other ones.The only problem I have with it is there was no metal pin stuck in the eraser to clean out the tip but I haven't had any lead break yet so it might not need it.All in all, these things are a pleasure to use.

Best automatic pencil for the price
I have lots of mechnical pencils and for the price this is the best one. My top three are the Rotring 600, Faber-Castel Vario and of course the Pentel 1000. The 1000 has the features you would expect on a good automatic pencil including the HB, F, M, 2H, 4H,2B,B (controls the softness) and a feature not on those other two: You press the clip and it retracts the last part of the metal barrel that sticks out and contains the lead. Without that, pencils such as the Rotring 600 and Vario can be dangerous weapons and cut through your shirt pocket or break. The 1000 pencil retracts so you can carry it arround in your pockets without it cutting through it. The only feature I wish it had was a moving eraser like the Vario. I have a heavy hand apparently and I am constantly breaking the leads of many other automatic pencils even when I try to write softly but not with the 1000 (.7).
