Miracle Device
After using the NoNo for several months, I believe that the reason some people give it a bad review is because they have not used it long enough to start seeing results. The first few times I used it on my legs and arms, I thought it didn't work because much of the coarser hair in some areas would not rub off with the smoother. However, I immediately noticed that after use on my legs, I had the smoothest shave ever, even without any lotion. Before, even right after shaving, they still felt somewhat scratchy around my knees and other areas. Some hair in other areas didn't rub off with the smoother either, but I noticed that after each use, the hair that does grow back, is much finer and there is less of it. After three months, I can now see that within another few months, the hair that was initially too course to rub off with the smoother, will be fine enough that it will. Thought it was a scam - I was wrong
As someone who used to wax just about everything, I spent a lot of time and money on hair removal.I was super excited with the promises of the first nono! but the advertising looked dodgy to me - so waited to see what sort of product reviews it would get (while hoping the price would come down). When the second generation came out (and the reviews I found were overall positive) I figured this was now a proven product and any kinks would have been worked out - maybe it wasn't too good to be true?My strategy; I was going to start with full legs then move on to arms and all going well buy the face attachment.I've now been using the nono! for two months on my legs and the softer hairs are just starting to stop appearing. You know what? This little tool really, really works. I wish they'd take the word 'painless' out of their advertising though, because it certainly isn't. As anyone who's tweezed or waxed knows, ripping a bunch of tiny hairs out by their roots at once is anything but 'painless.'If you're like me, prior to this tool, you had one of three options for hair removal. 1) Use that awful Nair for Face stuff that takes off a layer of your skin along with the hair, and walk around for three days with a red goatee and irritated skin. 2) Face the pain of waxing it off and still walk around with a red mustache and irritated skin afterwards. 3) Tweeze each and every little hair, one by one, consuming a day and a half if you want to get everything. I ordered this because I read about it in Oprah's O Magazine and they loved it. When I received it, I read the directions and even went to the REM website and watched a video of how to use it, but I couldn't get it to work for me. I almost gave up and thought about tossing it, but then I decided to experiment since there were other people who liked it.Here's what worked:1.) You don't necessarily have to bend the spring into a tight U shape as shown in the pictures (you can also use it bent just a little into a wide rounded U shape).2.) Lay the spring against your skin just below where you want to remove the hair.3.) As you slowly move the spring upward, twirl the right hand fingers clockwise and the left hand fingers counter-clockwise. DO NOT expect FAST hair removal - but does work!
I purchased the pink No NO 8800 model as I have been looking for a miracle hair removal system for my face for years. I've had it lasered twice, still having problems. Doctors said it was hormones and nothing I could really do about it but laser - that's way expensive and isn't really working for me, so in comes the No No! I was thrilled to see it and couldn't wait to order one. If it worked as it said, it would be the answer to my prayers. After ordering I read reviews and worried about making a mistake - I didn't. Here are the keys to this item:1. Charge over night - don't cheat on this one!2. It takes TIME and PATIENCE! You will not see smooth skin the first few times you use the NO NO. I started on my forearms before using on my face to make sure I knew what I was doing. It took about 6 - 30 minutes sessions (total for both arms) to really get a "no hair" apparearance. let me start by saying i have been thinking about buying this for a few years now and when i saw the infomercial to try it free for 2 months, i couldn't resist. i'm glad i waited because the older model was corded and it looks much bigger than the 8800 model. i received my no no on june 12. after charging it for 5 hours i couldn't wait to use it. it took me about 3 minutes to get the hang of it especially around curves. it does leave a burnt hair smell, but i was expecting that, and it's really not that bad. i think i was a little disappointed that it didn't take all of the hair away and leave a smooth surface, but when you think about it, if the wire could get that close it would probably burn your skin really bad. i decided that since i could send it back if i wanted to, i would use it pretty much every day. well that lasted about 3 weeks and then i started using it every other day. i must say i am very impressed with it. i started seeing and feeling results last week. i...
