Solid Mouse for a Good Price
There is nothing spectacular about this mouse, but if you are looking for a solid mouse under $10 this is a good choice. I had to replace my parent's mouse which had buttons that were very difficult to press and a scroll wheel that was a challenge to roll. This Kensington is much better.Like others have said, it is lightweight. For older people who simply want a mouse that works to browse the internet and look at pictures, this mouse is perfect. It does fit the hand very nicely and the buttons are very easy to click, but firm enough so you won't accidentally click them. The scroll wheel scrolls with ease and is textured for a good grip you can feel. No, I wouldn't want to use this for gaming or intense work, but for general computer use it is just right and at the right price.I installed this on 2 separate machines, a laptop with Windows 7 and a desktop with Vista. Inexpensive and Works - Recommended
This Kensington "Mouse-in-a-Box" is a very basic, but perfectly functional optical mouse that also happens to be a great value. We needed a "no frills" mouse for my mother to use and this fit the bill perfectly. Functional and inexpensive
This isn't the slickest or most ergonomic mouse out there, but it works reliably and didn't cost too much. It has a nice long usb cord. It has a very neutral, generic shape, which is better than the tried-but-missed-the-mark "ergonomic" mice out there.

Simple, Yet Effective
Every time I shop for a new mouse for myself I consider many different things, motion sensing system, clickability, reliability of the manufacturer, and of course special features. I for one have ALWAYS bought Logitech mice. I will be the first to criticize Microsoft when they add onto bloatware, release software which is not yet ready for market, and on and on......and yet I will also give credit where credit is due. The latest in a long line of high quality "basic" mice from Microsoft
I miss my old "Dove soap bar" Microsoft Mouse 2.0. That said, this mouse is the latest in a long line of good, basic, classic mice. It is the symmetrical design that, well, I prefer, and it has the benefit of having a larger scroll wheel than some of the newer pointing devices on the market. Unlike previous MS mice, this wheel does not have "click gradations," so you may have to get used to the "free" scrolling action.But overall, the size is good for an average man's hand, the buttons large with positive feedback, and the click action of the scroll wheel is near effortless. Both vertical and new, horizontal scrolling is handy in some larger applications. It makes scrolling in Excel on both axes (up/down, left/right) PARTICULARLY convenient.The addition of the third, thumb button can be used for any number of very useful functions, programmed with the IntelliPoint software. Control your HTPC with this.
Got a Logitech Harmony universal remote? Want to control your home theater pc with it along with everything else in your living room? Then this is the remote you want. I actually only needed the IR adapter and i was able to control my pc with the Logitech Harmony 880. I tried the remote pictured here and it works perfectly but i didn't need it. If you want a cheap IR to control your HTPC then here is a good solution. Oh and to program the Harmony to work with it you'll need the model name and number which is: Chinavision CVSB-983

Great little Media PC controller and not a bad mouse
This little gem works great and can be used with about any learning universal remote, including harmony (so long as you teach it the commands). There's also a JP1 upgrade for it if you're so inclined (no-name USB PC remote). I'm mainly writing to unlock the mystery of the A, B, C, D hotkeys. The instructions say that each can send any of 3 key combinations. A, for example, sends Ctrl+Alt+A, Ctrl+Alt+1 or Ctrl+Alt+F1. I couldn't figure out how to tell it which of those 3 to send. Well the fact is that each button sends all 3 hotkeys at once. For example, pressing A sends Ctrl+Alt+A, Ctrl+Alt+1 and Ctrl+Alt+F1 all at the same time. So they're basically giving you a choice of keys, but you wouldn't ever use more than 1 in each group of 3. I did a little experiment and made 3 different shortcuts using Ctrl+Alt+A, 1 and F1, and they all opened at the same time from just a single press of the A key.

No More Mad-Mouse Dives!
This little gizmo is just beautiful for what I bought it for. See, over time, it has come to the point that almost none of the shows that I like seem to air when I'm home (or awake) so, I've taken to watching them online on my laptop. Add in that one of the few things I can afford is a subscription to NetFlix and well, hooking into my television only took a couple of cables for very little $$ so there ya go. The only problem was trying to pause when I had to get up or the phone rang.Now, I suppose that I could have gone the Bluetooth adapter route but, frankly, without a coffee table what was I going to run it on? My leg? Functional + Cheap = Happiness
It works well and it's cheap, what more do you want from a mouse? Though the clicks are somewhat louder than most mouses I've used, but its hardly an issue.**Update 3/28/11So after a couple of months of usage it still works and the logo hasn't been rubbed off lol. Though the mouse wheel squeaks when rolling upwards, which is pretty annoying.

what i was hoping for
This is a very decent optical mouse. 5 foot cord length, fairly solid construction, works in USB or PS2, nice fit for a larger hand, seamless installation on Windows 7. Best of all, it is reasonably priced at just under $8. You can't go wrong. If for no other reason, buy this as a great back-up to your unreliable battery operated wireless or bluetooth mice for when you run out of AAA batteries.

Great cheap mouse
Mouse does what it's supposed to do for the price. It works well on my desk surface. I can finally discard the HP mouse that came with my desktop and was very erratic. Only slight negative is that the scroll wheel makes a little sound when used.
