Sun Maid pitted plums (or, prunes) are the best brand of pitted and dried plums on your grocer's shelf--period. These dried pitted plums are rather healthy for you. There is no fat, no cholesterol and almost zero sodium to boot! They offer fiber and potassium and that's good, too.However, this food is not an invariable substitute for a vitamin or other fruits with fiber, minerals and vitamins. They contain sugar (12 grams per serving) and they lack vitamins. I'll have to take off one star for that.In addition, a few of these helps fight constipation really well! Great product and packaging
I love the convenience of these packets. They are so much easier to pack and go. I don't have to worry about glass breaking in the diaper bag anymore. Love the fact that the fruit is organic. The prunes themselves are great for a beginning eater. There isn't much texture to it, so I add it to cereal and other things for my almost 8 month old son. If you are just starting feeding, this would be a great one to try, but it's great as a mixer for older eaters, as well.

Kiddo loves 'em and they cleared up constipation!
Added these prunes to our baby girl's diet to get things "moving" again. She loved them, and now is as regular as mom and dad! As far as the BPA? - we researched: amount is negligible and is contained under a non BPA layer. No contact with the food at all. Therefore - no BPA in the food whatsoever. Top to learn more

Excellent, But Take Care
Not terribly long ago, I found some really delicious Sunsweet Dried and Pitted Plums on a small bag (about 6 ounces). They were excellent, some of the best dried plums I've ever had. Of course, I wrote them up for Amazon an Amazon review and gave them a 5-star rating. You can probably find my report, if you like.Well, today I visited my local Costco warehouse store and found those same dried plums relabeled under the Kirkland Signature/Sunsweet brand and in a much larger 56-ounce bag. I was delighted and picked up a bag, although this is a lot of dried plums. Anyway, they're an excellent product and much cheaper by the ounce in such a economy large bag. They're good tasting and have a lot of vitamins and fiber and they're not overly high on calories. What more could you ask for?As you may know, plums (or prunes) can be an excellent natural laxative for bowel regulation and I use them on that basis frequently. You might take care with these. delicious and healthy--when enjoyed in moderation, of course
The packaging label may indicate that both Kirkland Signature and Sunsweet made these "pitted dried plums;" but rest assured that these are the same delicious prunes as the ones you can buy from Sunsweet. (The name is sometimes changed from "prunes" to "dried plums" so that they would sell better!) The main advantage here is the size of the container; you get 50 ounces and that should last you a while longer than smaller sized packages. They are delicious, sweet and tasty; and if I didn't know I have to watch how many I eat to avoid stomach problems, I could eat these all day.If you eat these pitted dried plums routinely to keep "regular," I would suggest that you buy them in this size. They won't go bad unless you open the container and let them sit for months; this won't happen though since you'll have finished eating these well before then.In addition, these contain the same wonderful antioxidants, fiber and potassium as any other brand of dried pitted plums... Highest antioxidant...
I keep the big bag in the refrigerator inside another zip lock bag even though I consume this frequently and need to purchase another bag every month. Excellent tasting. Prunes are dry plums but amazingly California changed the name to DRY PLUMS couple years ago for marketing reasons. It is amazing what marketing does since here is a product called prunes which has twice the amount of antioxidants as blueberries but it does not get the recognition since it does not cost ten times more, or because it is not exotic enough or probably since it does not come from Amazon. Regardless I consume 5 to 10 of these every single day since not only these are excellent tasting fruit, it has no additives and it tastes well with hot tea before bed time but more importantly what a help it is when I get up every morning... the best thing you can give to your digestion system... great baby food
This is a good choice for organic prunes for baby. I make most of my baby's food but buy her prunes for the additional fiber and it's easier than making them. These are a decent value for the price normally, but really good in this case option. Normally at stores it's the 2 tub pack for $1 and change. A touch overpriced, but a fine product
These cost more on Amazon than the grocery store, but it is sometimes more convenient to just have them shipped to you. We used these to help our baby feel "more comfortable" if she was having issues with going to the bathroom. This worked like a charm. It’s a tight fit having this co-sleeper in our queen sized bed, but it’s so convenient for nursing in the night and I think Baby H likes having both of us so close. Pampers Swaddlers : We are all set up to cloth diaper but I didn’t want to make the investment in newborn sized cloth diapers. Until, of course, the first couple of nights at home with a squirmy, crying baby who didn’t want to be on her own. We literally survived two nights at home before buying this. Snugabunny Bouncer Seat : Having a bouncer to put Baby H in for short periods of time as been great.
