Adjustable Roof Jacks
Most of the houses that we build have a 12-12 roof. I can't tell you how nice it is to stand on a 2x10 plank.I would be lost without my adj.roof jacks, they take up less room when they are being stored, I have some of the fixed jacks they are in my shop collecting dust. A fine product you can't go wrong.

The only safe way to shingle a steep roof.
My wife and I are building our own home without contractors. The roof has a 12/12 pitch. I would not have been able to shingle it (24 squares!) without these roof jacks. Remember you'll need a few of them. You have to keep the lower levels so you can climb to the next level(s). You also need the lower levels to stand on to build or remove the upper level. They should be spaced no more than 8 feet horizontally. I went 10 feet with no problem. Get the wide size. You'll appreciate the extra width to place tools and shingles. I used a 2x8 and a 2x4. It was too hard to handle a 2x12.

Must have for steep roofs.
I just finished reroofing my house and I used 8 of these brackets on my 12/12, 15 square roof. They are easy to install and remove, and take up little space when folded for storage. I also used a ladder in between levels of planks to minimize the number of jacks I had to install. These are cheap and make roofing so much easier. The adjustibility is also nice. Highly recommended.

It works
This product does its job, but there isn't anything on Amazon to indicate how it works - and the picture isn't very helpful on its own. The thing is, you get two of the pictured hangers (for the indicated price). The small hook goes under the second rung from the top of your ladder. The little wheel is part of a clamp that goes over the top rung of the letter and clamps down to hold the apparatus firmly to the ladder. If you have a ladder you use for climbing on roofs, you can just leave the two brackets attached. To use it, you turn the ladder so that the wheels are down and roll it up the roof. This can be done from a stepladder or another ladder leaning agaist the wall. When the large hook is above the peak of the roof, flip the ladder over and it hangs down the roof. Great for metal roofs that are too slick to walk on.

great tool, but be careful!
As a residential contractor, I've used this tool many times in places where it was impossible to set up a ladder from below. This tool lets you hang the ladder from the roof ridge. However, I wish to emphasize common sense and caution when using it...1.Make sure you firmly tighten this tool to your ladder...your life depends on it, 2.Do not let the ladder lay on any surface that isn't reasonably flat, for instance, don't rest the ladder on top of nailed down 2x4 roof cleats, what happens is that the roof cleats can act as fulcrums and if your weight on the ladder goes below the fulcrum(2x4), then the upper part of the ladder will lever its ridge hooks off of the ridge and down you go...I learned this one the really hard way. I know it's really just using common sense, but sometimes you just forget... 3. The use of a fall arrest harness as a backup system isn't a bad idea. I think I'd like the ridge hooks to be longer and somehow padded to protect the roof shingles. Still, when...

Durable and Reusable.
I bought three different brands of reusable anchors in a short time and this one is the best engineered. The metal is considerable thicker making it easier to pry off the roof without damage. The paint has also held up very well making it easy to spot if it becomes misplaced.

Land of the free!
I enjoyed well written with a father and his family moving to America after things failed on the island he lived own. Owning a store he had to give up due to a business plan with his sisters husband that left them broke moving. With the dad drill to his son James that he wants him to be a lawyer to think big, but his son wants to explore his own. Dad is worried his son wants to be s starving artist and not a lawyer.Book was well written I enjoyed how the father wants so much for his kids due to them being in America he wants to be able to depend on his son incase something is to happened to him or his wife.

Powerful, though altered, version of the play
Tennessee William's play, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", was considered so controversial that its Broadway producers forced the playwright to alter the third act. Either in spite of or because of the changes, the play was a huge hit. Even with the changes, it had to be further watered down for Hollywood's 1958 movie version. Once more, it was a boxoffice smash. It went on to garner six Oscar nominations, including Best Actress for Elizabeth Taylor and Best Actor for Paul Newman. Despite the industry's timidity back then, the movie was a searing, powerful drama about a family in crisis. That it remains so to this day, despite massive changes in social values and mores over the years, is a credit to its brilliant cast and to its director, Richard Brooks. Brick and Maggie [Newman and Taylor] have come to his father's big plantation in Mississippi to celebrate the old man's 65th birthday. Everyone calls him Big Daddy, and as portrayed by Burl Ives, he truly is a larger than life figure...

Every line filled with tension, and the acting is wondeful!
This adaptation of a Tennessee Williams play was nominated for six academy awards in 1959. It stars Elizabeth Taylor as Maggie, rejected over and over by her alcoholic husband, Brick, played by Paul Newman. His father, Big Daddy, played by Burl Ives, has just returned to his Mississippi mansion after exploratory surgery. There's bitter rivalry in the family as they speculate about his death. Jack Carson plays the older son, who, with his pregnant wife, played by Madeline Sherwood and their five obnoxious children are determined to inherit Big Daddy's fortune.
