Roswell, a fresh calm in Iraq
My name is Chris, and I am currently serving the Marine Corps in Al Fallujah, Iraq. I work the front-lines of 2nd Battalion 1st Marines. And here, life kinda sucks. But the one thing that I found peace and calm was watching whenever I could the incredible development of characters and events in the first season of Rosewell. Immediately I fell in love with Liz,Max and the rest of the gang. No other television series has portrayed the realities of what it like to be a teenager with secrets and those who share the same. Roswell captures the heart of being in love, the struggles a couple must face; heartbreak, betrayal, hope, and breath-taking 180's that leave you winded. yet wanting more. I strongly recommend anyone to become a Roswell fan. Because you will definitely see yourself in one or more of the characters, and then you will relate in ways you would never have imagined.

Roswellians Rejoice!!
I won't even try to persuade people to purchase this dvd set because I personally believe that if you watch the first episode of the show (try Sci-Fi channel) you'll most likely either become a life-long "Roswellian" or pass it off as boring television.In my opinion, Season 1 is the "premier" season in Roswell's three year run on television. The sci-fi audience that is enamored with Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel (both decent shows) should look more to Season 2 & Season 3 when they are released. Season 1 has often been characterized as "slow and boring" by this particular segment of the Roswellian population.Be aware that there are some dramatic music changes that were made to make the dvd affordable. And yes (as a previous reviewer mentioned), it does have a negative impact on a couple of very important scenes. It was a tough compromise that will probably anger quite a few fans. BUT, it is still Roswell and to give it a one star rating merely for that is just...

Hi.Any Fan of ROSWELL will love this book.There is 4 books set after Season 3.A New Beginning, Nightscape, Pursuit and Turnabout.The 1st two books are by a different author but are equally as good.The finale 2 books are what should be the ROSWELL MOVIE.They tie up all the loose ends and have everything you could ever hope for in them.They are a mixture of the action, comedy, drama. nice sequel
this book picks up where pursuit left off with liz and max's parents being kipnapped by the special unit and our 6 fugitives deciding to stop running and take the fight to the goverment for better or worse. along the way to this showdown, deputy valenti, amy deluca, agent duff, even brody davis gets involved in trying to stop the special unit once and for all. it does all come to a head and the writer closes a lot of issues the show did not get a chance to because it was cancelled prematurely. while this book did not have the excitement of the first book, it is a good one for all roswell fans and i just hope that there will be more roswell books from diffrent authors with diffrent ideals. the writers left too much in the air for just a couple of books to be printed. a must read for roswell fans.

Turnabout, the sequel to Pursuit, is an attempt to tie up the loose ends of the television series Roswell, a story of science fiction set amidst the mind fields of teen angst. This is probably as futile as trying to end the story of Superman, though the authors do try to deliver. Unfortunately, by the last 75 pages of the book, I got the impression that they were losing interest and had not been paid enough for the time necessary to thoroughly research such an overly complex back story.The overall writing gets a B+. It flows almost all of the time, but this is not the stuff of Pulitzer Prizes, nor is it intended to be. There is no eloquent prose, and there are a few typos.Effort to please the fans and stick to the canon also gets a B. It's really a shame it's not an A+, because heroic efforts were obviously made to tie up all the loose ends in a Mobius strip of words. Roswell - The Complete Series Seasons 1, 2, & 3 are a must own!
I first became familier with Roswell after purchasing the first season DVD set early last year. Since then I have became one of the shows biggest fans. I was a bit concerned that the second and third seasons would not be as good as the first, but to my surprise they are just as good if not better. Roswell is still one of my favorite TV shows. Season 1 deals more with the relationship/love story between Max and Liz. The second season deals more with the sc-fi aspect while the love story takes a backseat. The third and final season has the best of both the love story and sci-fi story. I have to say I have never cared much for sci-fi series but Roswell is so much more than just that. Like the wonderful first and second season, the third season still takes you on a emotional journey. As you go through each episode you still find yourself growing more and more attached to the characters as they go on their own emotional journey and self discovery. Flawed but excellent series..well worth owning
I didn't get this full set, but the individual seasons in box set, since I never saw the show on TV, and was originally sceptical about whether it would be worth getting; got Season 1 to see what it was about. By the end of the first show I was hooked; as others have said, Season 1 was the best due to the depth and reality of the character interactions, with enough action/sf to keep things moving. Without putting in any spoilers, there were episodes in the later seasons that weren't worthy of the total effort, the "off world" story was weak (like Flash Gordon, say) and there were major "out of character" moments, and some excessive revisiting of previous angst..and boy, there was a lot of angst. As I remember being a teenager, they did a good job of recreating that age.. idealism greater than adulthood, more sweetness, less selfishness, more awkwardness, etc. Unusually for a TV series, you really get involved with the 3 dimensional characters, and much of the plot seems true to...

Roswell Series Book 8 - "The Rebel"
A must read - but only after reading the previous 7 books in the Roswell Series. The Rebel is written in Classic Melinda style. Quick and easy to read and very entertaining. As with all the Roswell books, it is Full of surprising twists, suspense, humour and romance. The Rebel brings Alex back to us and explores the emotions felt and expressed by each group member when Trevor is introduced as Michael's older brother from their home planet. Liz is definately not dealing well with Max's connection with the collective conscienceness and finds comfort in someone elses arms. Melinda ends The Rebel with her usual "cliffhanger". Can't wait till 9 comes out.

A good continuation of the Roswell High saga.
I didn't think this was as good as the previous Roswell Highbooks, but it still earned five stars, and it's definitley better than the television show. Basically, this book is about Trevor, the older brother Michael never knew about, coming to Roswell from the home planet. Alex, who is back on Earth, doesn't trust Alex - and neither does anyone on the home planet. Meanwhile, Liz and Max are drifting apart, and she turns to Adam for comfort. I reccomend this book if you enjoyed the previous ones, but if you haven't read any others in the series, start with the first book and read the others in order.

Not Just for Teens
I have totally enjoyed this series. Even though they were written primarily for teens/young adults, it is so well written that adults will enjoy it as well. The fact that the author has most of the action/romance/conflict take place outside of the school helps this I believe. I look forward to the next two and hope that the publisher and author can be talked into more.Now for the book. The Liz/Max break up was upsetting and I hope that they can resolve their problems. Alex returning home was very much welcomed, he was missed. The situation with Kyle has got me waiting eagerly for the next one and I hope that we find out more about Alex's dad involvement with Clean Slate. I was glad that Liz and her parents finally had their discussion and Michael finding out he has a brother was a major throw. All in all, this book was just as consuming and thrilling as the other 7 have been.

An Amazing Soundtrack!!
I bought this soundtrack because I'm in LOVE with the show and because i already liked a few songs on the album. I ended up loving every song on this CD. I love the version of "Brothers and Sisters" by Coldplay on this CD, plus, i couldn't find that version anywhere else. "Save Yourself (Sense Field)," "Fear (Sarah McLachlan)," "I Shall Believe (Sheryl Crow)," "Here With Me (Dido)," "Shining Light (Ash)," etc. are all great songs. Here's some info on what some of the songs are to the show:1. "I Shall Believe" is Max and Liz's song. It was the song they danced to at what would've been there wedding if Liz didn't change the future...(Stupid Tess)2. "Shining Light" was Roswell's last song. Excellent soundtrack for a show I don't watch.
I'm not a fan of the show "Roswell" but I loved the choice of tracks culled for the soundtrack. The selection lends a eerie atmosphere which is ideal for the television show. I already own a few of the songs on this album which includes both versions of Dido's "Here With Me" and Sarah McLachlan's "Fear". As overplayed as "Here With Me" is, I still enjoy listening to the song, especially the Chillin' With the Family Mix. The remix is a more trip hop version of the song. "Fear" is one of my personal favorite Sarah McLachlan songs. The Hybrid's Super Collider Mix is superb, and th song itself sounds better remixed. I loved Doves' cover of "Blackbird". I thought their version sounded better than Sarah McLachlan's version on the "I Am Sam" soundtrack. The Sheryl Crow track "I Shall Believe" simply impressed me. The music included on this soundtrack has its merits and its downfalls. If you're into mellow, poppy melodies with semi-meaningful lyrics and decent singers, this CD is for you. One of its merits is the rare "Brother and Sisters" song by Coldplay and other songs from lesser known bands. The best songs, Dido's "Here With Me," Coldplay's "Brother and Sisters," Sarah McLachlan's "Fear," and Sheryl Crow's "I Shall Believe," are for the most part played in pivotal scenes. The others are in less important or less appropriately matched scenes and lack emotionally.Sadly, most of the music on the album is from season three of Roswell and is not the most appropriate for a soundtrack. Many fans would have preferred more songs from emotionally impactful songs played during the first two seasons, arguably the best of the series.
