Book was in decent enough shape (was in the shape as described). No surprises, got what I ordered! The book is SO helpful! LOVE it. Have already used it a bunch of times. It's a genius idea and is so helpful since I'm so picky with where I camp, I have to have full hookups and I have pets and I love outdoor activities..etc. PLUS, a lot of these campgrounds do NOT have websites, so this book is so helpful. THANKS!

best there is
I am a Florida kayak guide and teacher Short and to the point. Florida RV Camping is the best book on the subject published thus far. If you are a tent camper don't let the title scare you off. There are hundreds of campground that welcome both RV people and tenters and each one is covered in this book.

Finally, what I needed.
I had done a considerable amount of searching on the Internet and at some local outlets but could not seem to come up with a concise listing of RV parks that would serve our needs for long-term stays. I found this guide quite helpful in locating several areas and parks that precisely fit our agenda. all-in-one book for camping in Florida
I own the Florida State Park book and it's great but I needed a book that listed all the campgrounds available near cities we are visiting. This book covers ALL the campgrounds not just state cg's with "scenic" ratings which I find useful.Well organized and very useful.Addendum: I love this book the more I use it. I also refer to an unaffiliated website rvparkreviews.com. The website lists a few more parks than the book with actual user reviews (like amazon :-))

The definitive source on Florida campgrounds
I'd give this book 6 stars if I could. It really does contain information about every campsite in Florida. Even if you're not an RVer and are only looking for primitive backcountry tent camping, this book has campsites that you'd have to scour the web and printed publications to find out about. I've lived in Florida for 40 years, and every obscure site I could think of was covered in this book. For example, it has nearly all of the Florida Trail campsites. It even has a section for the ENP 10K islands backcountry camps, complete with a description and rating of each - along with a map.Considering the amount of campsites covered, the detail provided on each is unbelievable as well. For most sites the author goes as far as detailing the road conditions, the site layout and substrate (sand, gravel, grass), the sun exposure, and even warns of the scumbag factor for those few seedy parks. Very inclusive book
This is an excellant guide if you are a tent camper. Most commercial guides focus on RV campgrounds but this guide gives good coverage to the places those of us using tents would like. It is not as detailed as Johnny Molloy's 'The Best in Tent Camping' but covers many more campgrounds. It is an excellant addition to my camping references.

Florida's wilderness surprises
I have always enjoyed the beach, and when I saw Johnny Molloy's book I bought it immediately. It did not disappoint. With the book as my guide I made a grand tour of Florida's marvelous coastline. First, I started at St. Joe State Park, where I walked the wilderness beach backed by huge dunes. Then I headed south to Cayo Coasta State Park, whsere the ferry took me out to the quiet island getaway. After that, I crossed the peninsula and went to Sebastian Inlet, where the surfers entertained me as much as the excellent fishing. My final stop was at Fort Clinch, up near the Georgia border, where I toured the brick fort and enjoyed the beach here and on nearby Big Talbot Island. The best part was the smoothness of my vacation-it went off without a hitch, mostly due to the accurate research of Johnny Molloy. I plan to make another beach tour soon. Francisco Meyer, Atlanta, GA

Good info in a compact space
Didn't feel too impressed with this little book when it first arrived but did use it right away for a camping trip to Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys. The info helped me to choose the best camp site of the three different areas availale at this Park and to see this park to the fullest. I also read about and visited two other parks in the Keys area to explore them for future trips. After my first trip I felt as though I had gotten my monies worth, and enjoyed the trip more fully because of this book.I have scheduled a second trip for next week for NE Florida through this book..

Good Intentions Count
This is a self produced and handled product and as such it has good intentions and is, for the most part, worth the money. I intend to spend next winter on the gulf coast in my RV and his supplied a lot of good information. My only complaint is that the folks who made this did so right after Hurricane Katrina had hit the gulf coast and they spent much of their time on that. While I admire that, the information is now several years out of date and can easily be skipped. But all in all this is the only information in one place about this wonderful RV drive and I don't regret spending the money at all.
