Best I've Found
This book is a find! It's the only home security book I've read that first walked me through my house to locate areas of vulnerability and then gave me suggestions for correcting the problems. Since I found several insecure areas, it was a relief that the book gave detailed instructions and diagrams for solutions. Many were easy fixes that I was able to do myself. Beyond that,if you are considering a professional security system, I'd recommend you read this book so that you make the choice best suited to your needs.

A Valuable Resource for Home Security
I've been associated with home security with ADT, Security Analysts, and Honeywell, and my professional curiosity lead me to buy a copy of this book. I found this book to be thorough, applying a common-sense approach to addressing what is most important in successfully protecting your family and property. Of course, it's not possible to provide a one-size fits all manual with detailed specifics covering every security need imaginable. For that, a security professional must do a personal assesment on the specific property you wish to protect. If you are looking for a sound strategy to layout the best way to begin to protect your home and your family, I highly recommend this book.

Better than some
This book is better than some that I have read on home security. I found the security checklist to be pretty detailed and therefore useful. If you follow the advice in this book, you will have protected yourself from burglars that are looking for an easy target. If it's the professional burglars that you have to worry about, then I wouldn't recommend it.This book does cover the essentials fairly well and I did like that it helps you to uncover any vunerable areas that you may have in your home security and how to focus on the stuff that you can fix. In fact, I think that it does a great job of showing you home security solutions that you can do yourself that are low cost and easy to do. However, if you are looking for detailed information on security systems, then this isn't the book for you.

Only One Year??
I've had this product on my PC's and a few of my client's PC's for years now. I just updated my subscription through Amazon mainly for the lower $20 price difference and the advertised additional "3 months of protection." But beware....I went into my Webroot account and while it does shows my subscription as active, it only indicates "365 days remaining". One star lost for the misinformation. I'm not even sure who to contact about the situation. Amazon? Webroot? Otherwise it's a great deal for 3 PC's worth of protection.

Perfect Security System Addition at a Great Price
Let me start by acknowledging Amazon for providing such a deal on the sensor. The manufacturer sells this sensor at $90. I was able to add three additional sensors (radar, tilt, glass) to my system for the price of one.I added this to my Python 872 security system. After 20 minutes of testing the sensitivity levels, I set it up just as I wanted: I have it so it will warn when standing right next to the vehicle, and it will only arm if someone enters the car (I had the window rolled down while testing for the full alarm trigger). Adds a much welcomed ability to my Security/Remote Start System. Bam.

Dual Zone Sensor
Works very good. You can hide the sensor so it`s undetectable. I have a Jeep with a Soft Top. This sensor was perfect for interior protection.

it works but hard to find sensitivity medium
it definitely works. dont get me wrong, but im still trying to find the medium where it just chirps when u walk by or up to the vehicle, & goes off if bumped. its set now to go off when bumped somewhat hard, & chirp if just pushed. its weird because its either too much or too little. the turning mechanisms are not that wide so you have to try again & again to find the sensitivity you want. or be blessed enough to find an alarm tech to install it & set the sensitivity perfect the first time... but it does the job!!

So glad my old carabiner broke!
After my carabiner broke, i had nowhere to attach my car keys, i hate looking through my pockets. After some searching on amazon, i came across this. This is insanely perfect. I wanted a red carabiner with a black gate, but all others sold them with a silver gate, plus this is has SO many other features.Pros:-The Aluminum is anodized so the color will not fade off or scratch off-its aluminum-the knife is stainless steel, its pretty sharp to come with, but i filed it to a razor edge-when the knife is open, the body of the carabiner provides much needed grip, and im a pretty big guy, 6' and this is nimble in my hands-the springs and bearings for the opening mechanisms are very high quality, strong gate spring and the bearing creates tension when opening knife (extra security so it wont open on you suddenly)Cons:- the gate door opens a little less then regular carabiners and the space is a bit narrower, so if you have wide belt...
