Fine top hat.
Not exactly top of the line but you get what you pay for. Its not flimsy or made out of plastic, looks nice, relatively durable and very classy. My only warning, its kind of a tight fit.

Great, sturdy, nice-looking top hat!
I don't know what the previous reviewer was smoking or how big his head is, but this is a great tophat that easily fits an adult female and/or a full-grown teen with a normal-size head. I would imagine that anyone with an oversize head such as that reviewer must have, would know they would require custom sizing and not order a 1-size-fits-all hat like this or any other 1-size hat anyway.After that other review I was half-afraid I'd receive a flimsy, cheap too-small hat, but the price was right enough to take a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a sturdy, well-made, nice-looking tophat that arrived in perfect shape. The product description is accurate; the service from Costume Supercenter is excellent; and you cannot beat the price for a top hat of this quality. I would definitely order another of this hat if I ever needed a second one, and I would not hesitate to order from this merchant again.

Nice but not really top hats
I ordered two of these as props for my little girls Peter Pan party, and they will work just fine, but they're not true top hats. They're a little taller than a top hat, and get slightly smaller as they go up to the top of it. Kind of like a cross between an Abe Lincoln stovepipe hat and a top hat. But definitely not as tall as a true stovepipe hat! They seem to be of decent quality and I'm sure will work great for the kids. Oh, and they are really really big! I have a normal size head and it falls over my eyebrows. But they're one size fits all and I expected that. Good deal for the money if you don't absolutely have to have the true top hat shape.

Sized TOP HAT for costumes very good.
This was definitely better than I expected. It actually seems almost like real felt! not just flocked plastic or whatever some other "felt' hats are made of. I also appreciate it being sized...and it is truly a "medium"...about 22 1/2" i think. Looks good. 5" seemed short to me, but when you put it on it IS a top hat...and really really expensive ones are also 5". Guess I wathinking of stovepipes! The shipping was just fine...nobody sat on the box and it's perfect.

Not Felt
The title says it's felt, but it's not. Well, for the price, it's not like you'll get a high-quality hat. Even so, I expected something more than frocked-plastic type stuff that makes the hat. Not a bad buy for the price, though - I was just looking for a novelty item. Even so, wouldn't recommend unless looking for a 1-time costume.

Good for the price
I got this for a play and was very pleased. I had to build "I'm Just a Bill" on top of the white one and it made a very sturdy base. I used the black one for a magician. The hat is made of heavily stiffened felt with a satin-like finish. Nice shape and size - higher than most and fairly vertical sides - large enough for an adult head. Both colors looked great on stage.
