Simply AWESOME & well worth the money!
This has got to be one of the greatest companies out there. A friend turned me on to Square Trade, so since the warranties were so low in price, I started buying them for every new electronic toy I bought, mainly so I could sleep better at night knowing that just in case, I would be covered. It just so happens, last month I had to make a claim for a portable DVD player that stopped working just 1 month after the manufacturer warranty had ended. I called Square Trade and had them walk me through making the claim on line. Then, they emailed me a pre-paid UPS return label to send back the DVD player, then after they rec'd it on their end & determined it was indeed dead, I had the WHOLE ammount I paid for the player sent to my Paypal account within 4-5 days! I have warranties through them from my $70 fax machine, all the way up to my $1,500 HDTV. SquareTrade Warranties - Well Worth It!
I had purchased a warranty for an amplifier that was bought on eBay. The cost of the warranty was $28. 1-1/2 years later the amp went out. I followed the simple claims process on their web site and in less than 5 business days they paid out to me the original purchase price of the amp. I was extremely glad I purchased the warranty. If not I would have been looking at a minimum of $80 to repair the amp. Now I am able to purchase something new. I am one extremely happy customer, so much that the next amp will have a SquareTrade warranty on it as well.

**UPDATED**Would not consider anything other than Square Trade
Had to stop and review after seeing the low two star rating for Square Trade. I initially found Square Trade on ebay when purchasing used electronics. Square Trade offers warranties on used items purchased on that site. It sounded too good to be true so I did some research and after which I realized that I had been wasting my money purchasing warranties at Best Buy and other retailers. Square Trade has been rated across the board as excellent, recently winning a 2011 customer service award. I am now a Square Trade customer for everything that they offer a warranty for and I list it in my ad if I am selling used electronics (I sold my kids Wii and all games and accessories listing Square Trade as a warranty provider). Items in my home that are currently under warranty with Square Trade; Breville Juice and Blend, 2 flat screens, 1 laptop, Kitchenaid stand mixer and a bunch of smaller ticket items. Square Trade Best warranty out there.
Square Trade is very easy to work with. They may hit your card immediately but they will delay start date up to 30 days after purchase. If you have an issue with calling them to delay because it may be a holiday gift just order the warranty after but within 30 days of receiving your Fire.I have purchased warranties within 90 days for other items. Very helpful and courteous customer service and fare rates. I hate when people post negative reviews for problems that don't exist, it hurts the review process and takes longer to see if an issue is real or if someone just doesn't get it.

Hassle-free for me!
*3* year warranty for mechanical failures, malfunctions AND accident protection at $40? It cannot get any better than this! I almost bought the store warranty instead of Squaretrade's because I did not know they existed! In April, I purchased an "Apple Ipod 8gb Touch" to give to my little sister for her birthday. When I was at the biggest electronics store here where I live(Best Buy), I was hesitant to buy this because I know my sister to be careless and risky at times. Friendly, fair and fast!
My story is short and sweet. I recently bought a Kindle 3G+wifi and I loved it! But I read some reviews on amazon saying the screen was fragile, I also read on some Kindle forums about people who had accidentally sat on their Kindle but had a warranty with Squaretrade. So I made myself a cover, and just to be safe I got myself an extended warranty from Suaretrade to cover anything bad that might happen. Well I am an absolute klutz, and didn't have the cover on one day with the Kindle in my pocket... and as I'm moving around in my chair I hear a popping sound. It was the Kindle's screen breaking. So I checked with Amazon first, and was pretty sure their warranty wouldn't cover the screen accidentally breaking (sure enough it didn't). Square Trade Warranty
I purchased the square trade warranty for my PSP due to the fact I had trouble with the first one I bought. It had a warranty through Sears and that warranty sucked!!! I again had trouble with the new PSP but the warranty through square trade was wonderful. It was so easy to return the product to them and get a refund for the entire price of the PSP. When it was all said and done I had my refund in 2 weeks with not a bit of hastle. I could not have been happier with their customer service and with the entire process really. I will definately purchase the square trade warranty again when I buy a new PSP. I already have 4 other products that I have purchased the square trade warranty for. They are the most reasonably priced warranty out there with the best service. Take my advice and buy their warranty for everything you purchase that needs a warranty. You will not be disappointed!!!!

To buy or not to buy (an extended warranty), that is the question!
Bought a Gen2 Kindle for my wife (she loves it) WITH an extended warranty ("EW"), on which I based my rating, but to be completely accurate, its true rating won't be known unless and until I ever have to make a claim. I have on order a Gen3 for my daughter and am debating (with myself) whether to order an EW for her Kindle. My general feeling about insurance (I know, I know, an EW isn't insurance, but I think the decision making factors are the same for both) is that one ought to insure only those risks one can't afford to assume. In other words, if you happen to be Bill Gates you don't have to insure your $20+ million house because if it burns down you can afford to replace it. Insurance is always a bad deal because (1) the premium is based on risk of loss, which the insurance company knows very precisely; (2) the premium includes its cost of doing business; and (3) the premium includes its profit. Therefore, the premium cost is greater than the risk of loss and you should not buy...

Different Amazon vendors give different cables! Cellular 5 Star gave best. Importer520 cables were okay. Item44less were worst
I compared the cable I received with my original iPhone 4 and 3 cables. I cannot tell any differences other than a slightly different feel of the rubber/plastic material along the cable length, which by the way also differs between my genuine Apple iphone 4 and 3 cables. Another reviewer posted pictures on Amazon in which the cable in question appeared to have a slightly wider or larger connectors, but mine are identical in size, and appearance. I am very happy with this purchase and will purchase several more. ADDENDUM April 20, 2011 ======================= After my initial great experience with the cable (that I ordered from Amazon's merchant Cellular 5 Star), I ordered 3 more cables, and did not realize that the "default" merchant had changed to Importer520. I just received these 3 cables and they look similar to genuine Apple cables at quick glance, but on closer inspection, they all had surface blemishes and slight irregularities...

Not an "Apple" cable but VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE! (see my pics for full visual comparison made 4/1/11)
I browsed Amazon for weeks teetering between about 3 different sellers for my replacement dock cables for charging/syncing my iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and 160Gig iPod Classic. I found these cables to be the least expensive of the ones with predominately "good" reviews. There were a few people who said they got the "real thing" when they ordered the cables as "OEM Apple cables", a few people who said the cables were good but not "OEM Apple" quality, and finally there were a few who said to "stay away from these cables" because they tore up easily. I figured I'd chance it and order them. I am VERY PLEASED that I did. I ordered the cables 3/29/11 and was given a forecasted delivery date of 4/4 to 4/7/11. I received the cables today (4/1/11). wow. I usually don't write reviews because I'm indifferent, but I can't stay quiet after that. My Kindle got smashed in an earthquake and I put off calling in the claim because I dreaded haggling with someone I can't understand and making them do what the warranty said they would. I worried for nothing. They were kind, didn't argue with me, and I was on the phone for less than 10 minutes. Best of all, I will have a replacement Kindle in 2 days. 2 DAYS!!!! No haggling, no misunderstanding, no long explanations. They just said they were sorry it happened and they are sending me a new one! I will always use squaretrade for my future warranties, and I suggest everyone else does too!

A Real Warranty
This past summer I bought a Dell Laptop and considered getting an accidental damage warranty for it at additional cost until I read that A) it didn't cover water damage(no spill protection) B) it didn't cover if damage was incurred while the computer was being moved from place to place(um hello-it's a laptop it moves from place to place which is why an "accidental drop" might occur, and C) it didn't cover acts of God-such as lightening strikes. To me, these are the three most common accidents that could possibly happen to a portable electronic device and thus the point of getting an accidental damage warranty. It kind of defeats the purpose and instead seems to be a complete waste of money. When Amazon recommended this warranty I almost completely dismissed it but I decided to see if it was a "joke" of a warranty too. I was amazed by what I saw, not only from what was advertised but by the reviews from people who actually had to use the warranty. They cover spills and drops...

Outstanding service of Square Trade Insurance & Amazon
When my husband damaged his kindle by dropping it on the floor when he fell asleep, we ordered a new kindle to replace it not knowing how long it would take to get the damaged kindle fixed or replaced. We were going to be leaving on a trip in three days and wanted to take it with us. We ordered a 2 day delivery on the new kindle. To our surprise, when we spoke to Square Trade, they offered quick delivery. The replacement kindle arrived in the morning before we left and the new kindle arrived in the afternoon of the same day.
