Another Biological Clock Ticks...But Hunt Provides Heart and Conviction to Her Directorial Debut
Released earlier this year, Baby Mama covers the same emotional territory but in much broader slapstick terms, while this 2008 serio-comedy is driven far more by character than situation. In this case, the protagonist is 39-year-old April Epner, a New York kindergarten teacher who was raised in a close-knit Jewish family and desperately wants the biological connection of a birth child before her alarm clock goes off. She marries fellow teacher Ben, an inarticulate schlub with a terminal case of the Peter Pan Syndrome. After a brief time, he wants out of the marriage, and at almost the same time, April's adoptive mother Trudy dies. Not even a month goes by before April's biological mother suddenly shows up in the form of the brazenly overbearing but genuinely likeable Bernice Graves, a cable talk-show hostess who is something of a local media celebrity. If life was not complicated enough, April also finds herself drawn to Frank, the single father of one of her pupils. Unlike Ben, he...

Bonding: Necessities and Consequences
In a featurette on the DVD release version of THEN SHE FOUND ME writer (with Alice Arlen and Victor Levin) /producer/director Helen Hunt shares a ten year journey to have a film made of a novel by Elinor Lipman. Her cast shares in the very sentimental story of Hunt's devotion and seemingly endless charisma and abilities. The explanation for making this budget film are in many ways more successful than the film, a work the cast seems determined to classify as a comedy but a work that is far more a human drama.April Epner (Helen Hunt) is married to fellow schoolteacher Ben Green (Matthew Broderick) and longs to have a baby before her advancing age prevents her dream. April was adopted as an infant by a Jewish couple who subsequently gave birth to April's brother Freddy (Ben Shenkman): April has always longed to have been Freddy's biological equal, wondering what it would feel like NOT to be adopted. April's busy life implodes: Ben has decided he doesn't like his life and...

Another winner!
I love Beth Cornelison's books! I love to eat, and I love to read - I gobble her books up like good chocolate - they are that addictive! I am thrilled Amazon offered Trust in Me for FREE for Prime members - I would have gladly paid for it, but bonus for me! This is a must read for summer at the beach, or curled up on a rainy spring day. As always, her characters are people you want to get to know better. Take advantage of this DEAL from Amazon - you will not be disappointed.

Great story
I really liked this love story between Claire & Kevin. I love books that take place in small towns. This is one of them, but doesn't have too many neighbors your introduced to all at once, like some books. This story is about Kevin, a very hard working man, who works as manager of the general hardware store who takes one class a week to try to get through collage and of course has been hurt in the past by love. In comes Claire, a spoiled very rich girl who is trying to make it all on her own without her daddys decisions and money that go with it. The story is about them finding love in someone they never thought they could be with. Claire takes a job at the general store with Kevin and the rest you will have to read. This book has some humor, I found myself laughing quite a few times. In my opinion it was a little slow with the passion between Claire & Kevin, but I wasn't bored. It was a great story. I would recommend to anyone to read.

sweet and sexy
Read this over spring break while watching the kiddies by the pool. I'm a fast reader, but this one really flew by at lightning speed. Kevin and Claire are two characters that will lock you in from the initial chapters and keep you rooting for them till the very end. A sweet and sexy story that I will pass along to my friends for their summer reading list.

Undeniable pop song.
I'm not saying this is a classic or anything because it probably won't go down as one. But as far as catchy, foot-tappin' pop songs go, this one is one of the best out right now. Forget my girl Katy Perry's "Part Of Me" or the latest of Nicki Minaj--we now have Carly Rae Jepsen churning out this feel good pop ditty. And catchy isn't even the half. The lyrics seem as if they could be picked up in just a few listens as I was humming some of the song on the first run through. The keyboard work is very infectious, the video, cutesy and the ending, hilarious. Not to be missed.4.5 stars.

Probably the best recent pop song.
Light, undeniably catchy, and tight beats. This is probably the best recent pop song i've heard. Phenomenal. Buy this, you wont regret it. It's only natural someone discovered by Justin Bieber could be so lyrical and poppy. Very reccomended. I even will buy the maxi single. Great song.

Definitely not DOA
Debut author Amanda Ashby had me hooked from the first line. Ashby takes us on a humorous, heart-tugging, heaven-to earth-ride with Holly Evans. Holly always wanted to understand men better but hitching a ride in her co-worker Vincent Murphy's body isn't exactly what she had in mind. While working out her earth-bound issues, Holly realizes you can't always size someone up by the kind of tie they wear.I laughed out loud several times while reading this and cheered for Holly when she finally came to her senses and realized her life really started when she died.

delightful after life fantasy
Holly Evans is unhappy to be dead at twenty-two years old and mortified having attended her own funeral. Her heavenly shrink grants her a forty-eight hour reprieve with two stipulations. First she must make a heavenly effort to clear up the tiffs she had with friends and family, etc; second she must use someone else's body whose soul has just vacated the premises.Holly enters the corpse of recently deceased computer nerd Vince Murphy; only there is a minor problem. Vince still lives so she shares his body, which irritates him no end. However he agrees to help her with her cause. Meanwhile Holly realizes that the biggest mistake of her life when she was living was not realizing how nice yet strong Vince is.This delightful after life fantasy is entertaining and amusing as Holly and Vince will remind readers of the terrific 1980s Tomlin-Martin film All of Me. Readers will laugh out loud as the geek and the dead chic chick battle for control of his body and...

When Holly Evans wakes up dead at the tender age of twenty-two, she’s pretty sure things can’t get any worse (especially since her boyfriend was about to propose to her with a diamond ring the size of her knuckle). But Holly’s wrong and it turns out that she’s still got some mortal baggage to unload before she can walk through the pearly gates, which is why she’s being sent back to earth to get things sorted out.
Problem is that when she lands in the body of computer geek, Vince Murphy, she discovers that instead of having left the building, Vince is still very much alive (and remarkably unimpressed at the idea of sharing with a dead girl). So now Holly has to sort out her unresolved baggage in the next forty-eight hours while stuck in the body of a guy she barely noticed while she was alive. And if she doesn’t? Well, let’s just say that she’s probably not going to like the alternative.
"It's The Lovely Bones meets Bridget Jones in this fluffy take on what happens after death...it's a fun, witty traipse through the afterlife." Publisher's Weekly
"This book has a delightfully quirky concept that develops into a fun and interesting story. Peopled with a fascinating variety of characters, it also has an intriguing mystery and a charmingly different type of interaction between the hero and heroine. Expect a delightful tale with a wonderfully distinctive ending." 4 1/2 stars Romantic Times Bookclub TOP AUGUST PICK 2007 Top to learn more
