Perfect for my purpose
I wanted a hat for working and running outdoors. My requirements for the hat include the need to keep the sun off of my head and out of my eyes, stay on my head while I move about, and keep the sweat out of my eyes. I selected the "oyster" color, which is the lightest color, so that the hat does not become too hot in the sun. The hat is 100% cotton, except the buckle, eyelets, and tags, and washes right in the laundry with my other dirty clothes. The nice buckle adjustment and wide band are secure enough to keep it tight around my head so that, even in a stiff wind, it stays put while engaging in physical activities, yet it is very comfortable to wear for hours. It is very absorbent, so I don't have sweat running into my eyes. It has held up well, even after several washings, and I suspect it will keep looking good as it ages. I have ordered three more so that I likely will have one handy any time I find myself out in the sun. In appearance, the picture provided here on Amazon...

Great hat
I love this hat. It fits and stays on because it has an elasticized back, and stayed on even in a high wind when others' hats were blowing off. The bill is deep enough to shade your eyes against the sun, and the fabric is good quality cotton. Most of all - I love the way it looks!

Great full coverage hat
I lost all my hair recently due to chemotherapy treatments. Was looking for a lightweight summer hat that offers full coverage (e.g. hat covers the head all the way to the neck in the back). Stylish and versatile
I bought this hat in the natural color to wear to a multi-day outdoor music festival (Bonnaroo). I wanted something cuter and more stylish than a fishing/boonie hat but didn't want to risk blocking other people's view of the stage by wearing a huge "J.Lo" glamour hat. So, I decided on this breezy cotton number, and I wasn't disappointed in the least. In addition to the music festival, I've also worn it while hiking, rowing, and traipsing through farmer's markets. It has consistently kept my head cool, my eyes shaded, and my face, neck, and shoulders free of sunburn.The weave of the fabric makes it look like linen, and according to the tag, it provides SPF 50+. The brim is nice and wide, made out of a somewhat stiff canvas that holds its shape if you bend it. Great sun protection with a great style
Love the hat. It looks fun on and keeps the sun out. I was worried the red would be a little washed out, but it isn't. It is a nice deep red without being too much. I can style it to wear several different ways. It's a keeper.The hat isn't washable and it can get a little hot. I am concerned that the white hat band inside will get dirty quickly since it isn't washable. Despite that, I will probably order more in other colors.
