Product is great!
This product works great. It glows for several hours with just a few minutes of light exposure. I used the tape on my stairs and it serves as a night light too. The adhesive works fine if you clean and dry the surface before applying. I've had the tape on my stairs now for several weeks and even with foot traffic it has not come off.Update: Have had it for 6 months now and have wet mopped the stairs and it still sticks. My toddler walks up and down the stairs too and it has not peeled at all.

Flourescent tape
This is the best product of this type that I have found. It stays very bright. Only a small piece is necessary to light up a path at night. I highly recommend it.

The photoluminescent pigments absorb and store energy from normal, ambient light. In sudden darkness the tape is immediately visible. The tape provides a non-electric safety marking system that easily and inexpensively affixes to walls, handrails, columns, around door frames, and along stairways and baseboards (provides visibility during an emergency). It is wound on a liner for easy handling. Also used for identification of critical equipment controls, exit and directional signage (especially for escape routes and stairways), light switch covers, labels, decals, novelties, sporting goods, trims and special effects. Used in hotels, hospitals, schools, public facilities, office buildings and manufacturing plants. JVCC Glow in the Dark Tape is fully charged within 30 minutes after exposure to either artificial or natural light and glows brightest the first 15 to 30 minutes after activation has ceased, but will remain clearly visible in a totally dark room to the night-adjusted eye for up to 6 hours (to the night-adjusted eye it is visible, but it would not compare it brightness to say a standard flashlight). Really glows in the dark but the adhesive isn't sticky enough
The purchase was really easy and the delivery was fast. The glow in the dark part really works well, does stand out in a dark place with minimum exposure to sun light, however the adhesive isn't as good as I was expecting (it does peal off after a couple of weeks).

Great Item
After reading the issues people had with the inner bumps on the other weighted hoops, I decided to give this one a try. It is easy to put together - snaps into place - but like others I hadn't gotten it quite "right" so the first couple of times it came apart. Once I fixed those two areas it was good to go. I've only been using it a couple of days, but so far it's perfect. I don't have any bruising (as mentioned by those people who bought the hoops with the inner bumps), but I've had a bit of difficulty keeping it up. However, I'm sure I'll be hooping if I keep trying since I'm getting better each day.Do beware however that this hoop is HUGE! I guess I'm still visualizing the kids hula hoops from years ago. This hoop requires quite a bit of free space so be prepared.I'd recommend it to anyone who is considering purchasing a weighted hoop

Great for a Quick Workout
I was skeptical of this product but decided to give it a try because it wasn't very expensive. I was able to put it together with no problems and didn't have any problems with it falling apart when I was using it, as others did. When you're putting it together, just make sure the buttons are securely fastened and you shouldn't have a problem with it falling apart. I had to give each section a small tug to make sure everything was in place. It took a while to get used to the weight of the hoop and it really hurt at first, but I didn't get any bruises. I followed the recommended exercise plan that's listed on the box: 1-2 minutes of hula hooping the first week, 2-3 minutes, the second week, etc. Let your body get used to the weight of the hula hoop. It'll hurt the first couple of times you try it, but once you get used to it, you'll love it!

A FUN way to a firmer midsection!
I ordered the 3-pound Acu-hoop, based upon the recommendation of a member of an online forum that I frequent. She swore that she had lost inches from her midsection in a short time by using the hoop, and as I'm wanting to also firm that part of myself before swimsuit season, I decided to order one for myself. I was a bit leary at first, because (as others have stated), I couldn't hula-hoop as a kid to save my life. I wasn't sure how on earth I was going to get a 3-pound hoop to go 'round and 'round, but the first time I tried it, after a few fumbles, I was hooping! Yes, this thing was actually spinning around my body! I love my 3 lb acu hoop
When I first began using my weighted hoop, I bruised very badly around my hip bones. It was very painful, but I did not want to give up. I went to Walmart and bought a "weight loss belt" in their sporting section. Basically, it is a light rubber belt that velcroes around my waist and hip area. It works great - no more bruising. I hoop most days for 10 min. and about everyother day, I do Leslie Sansome's Ab Shortcuts DVD. I don't have "ripped" abs, but my stomach is very firm and I have nice oblique definition. *Since hooping, I have lost an inch off my waist.

Fun way to workout in front of TV
I have a 4 lb hula hoop and you should know that the first couple of days it will hurt to use this. It feels like someone is punching you in the stomach (I guess it means that it's working). After that you will get used to it. You have to be very good at hula hooping a regular one, as it will take all your abdominal muscles to hold on to it. I recommend it.

Challenging but worth it.
It took me a week before I could use these for more than a couple of seconds before one or the other hoop would fly off my arm.Using these really works my arms and shoulders. I still can't keep them going for more than a couple of minutes before my muscles give out.I tried these to help rehabilitate my shoulder - and they helped a lot.

Arm Hoops
These hoops are very smooth and there is no assembly. The recommended time is 3min per day and it took me awhile before I could achieve a steady 3 min per day. Good workout for the upper body especially the shoulders and neck. I use the arm hoops with the weight trim hoop for a workout

Exercise Hula-Hoop
This product is fun. I cannot hula hoop with a light store bought hoop and it took me several tries to work this hoop (I am 48 years old)but I did it after a few days. It's good exericse picking up the hoop while practicing. I was surprised that I can go in both directions too. I lost 5 lbs in one week and hoop for 10 minutes every night. I did not get bruised like other people have stated. However, my sister who had purchased one had a few bruises. I think the ridges on the inside are helpful with keeping hoop on but if you feel you may bruise too easily, then go for a smooth weighted one.

Easy Workout- Thumbs Up!
I read a lot of reviews before I bought this. I was a bit hesitant because it received so many mixed reviews, but I decided to buy it anyways. I am very happy with this product. I know people were complaining that they had bruises from using it, but I'm not sure what they were doing because I haven't had that problem.I read the instructions to take it slow and not do more than 2minutes a day when you start, so I didn't get any bruising, but I did feel that i was getting a workout. My skin gets red from the weight of the hula hoop, but it goes away immediately. I just do it for a 5 mins in the morning and 5 minutes at night while watching TV, and it's such a quick way to do something instead of nothing.I definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants a mild, easy, mindless workout. Good beginner hoop, if you don't mind a few bruises
My husband and I wanted to begin hooping, but were a little unsure of our success considering our ages (49 & 50) and considerable lack of experience (ie. none). After reading the reviews here, we landed on this 3 lb Acu Hoop. This hoop was a great starter hoop and still one we like to come back to from time to time. The 3 lbs of weight really help keep the hoop up, as the weightier the hoop, the easier it is to stay aloft. However, just as a warning, those same 3 lbs also will cause bruising around your waist/hips (and anywhere else it might whack you while you're learning). This was not a big deal to us, as it was proving our success.We've since learned that a lighter weight "professional" hoop (1.5-2 lbs) is actually a better work-out, as you have to use your muscles to a greater degree to keep it up.
