DON'T BUY ANY OTHER ONE
1) Half as expensive as what the dealer charges you.2) Plug it in and it works. Not a single problem. (I have the 2012 Elantra and it works amazingly. So it will [read: should] work on the rest of the 2012 line.)3) Length is nice. (Only a foot so its not dangling everywhere--fits nicely in cup holder or the little compartment the cord comes out from.)4) Does exactly what it says: you can control your iPhone 4, latest generation of iPod and I bet even your iPad.5) Shipping is fast too. Perfect
I just purchased a 2012 Hyundai Elantra GLS and was excited to have a stereo through which I could run my iPod (my last car didn't even have a tape deck). Unfortunately, when I plugged in my iPod cable I realized that it was not compatible. After doing some research I found this cable. It comes at 1/2 the cost of the one offered by the Hyundai dealer, and does 100% of what it's supposed to. I can control my iPod Nano (4thG) and my iPhone 3GS through it. When the phone is plugged in it still leaves the phone free for calls and use while being able to fully access my music library on my in dash console. The sound is phenomenal (I will never be able to go back to simply plugging in an AUX cable - or, worse yet, the old school tape deck adapters), the ease of use is great. There is ONE caveat however, the cable is quite short. It first perfectly in the front console (iPhone/Pod attached) but don't expect to keep in on your lap while driving or anywhere else. Very much a driver...

It's a decent book, more helpful to those who have no idea what they're doing rather than those who already have some idea of how things work and some experience. I wouldn't recommend it or buy it again.

Love it!!
I recently bought a 2012 Hyundai Accent. I was so bummed when I came home and plugged in my iphone cord into the car and the phone just kept clicking and saying unable to read. I Google'd the problem and found out that you have to buy a Hyundai cord! Which is 45+ at the dealership. I bought this cord and it works wonderfully!! I definitely recommend to anyone wanting to just listen to their ipod or Pandora in the car. It even says what artist and song are playing! Great item for the price.

Hyundai iPod Cable
I love it! It offers me the ability to control my iPod using the steering wheel mounted radio controls. And it was about half the price compared to what my local Hyundai dealer wanted for the same product.

Great Buy
The dealer wanted $35 for an ipod cable for our 2010 Sonata. We wanted to look around online first and are glad we did. This was much cheaper and does the trick. We love being able to control the ipod from our Hyundai radio center console controls and see the playlists/music titles. It's great that it both connects and charges the ipod while in use. The cord is a good length, too, about 18 inches, so you don't have long tangles but you can easily feed it from the inputs inside the armrest console through the cable grooves and fiddle with the ipod itself without unplugging it to reach it, if you so desire. And frankly, it's pretty cool to have the Hyundai logo pop up on your ipod screen. It warms my husband's nerdy techie heart!We highly recommend this cable over the dealership cable. You wouldn't have purchased a Hyundai/Kia in the first place if you didn't like to get a bargain! This find is just the cherry on the sundae of driving a screamin' deal.

It works
Pretty simple: Does it work? Yes? Awesome.I just got a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. Two months later I got an iPod. The dealership was quoting some outrageous price for this little cable. (Was it $50 or $150? Either way, it was too much.)This cable seems to work perfectly. No frills, just a cable in a plastic bag. We'll see how it holds up over time, which is really the only other factor. But for now, no complaints.

Hyundai Ipod adapter
It works, but the 2012 doesn't "see" it as an Ipod. Instead, it sees it as an "auxiliary", and the Ipod has to be controlled from the Ipod instead of using the Voice Recognition feature. I find this to be somewhat of a pain, because I would rather control the Ipod when I am driving with voice commands instead of using the Ipod screen.Maybe this works differently with earleir Hynundai's.

Same as the Chilton Manual
I bought both the Chilton and Haynes manuals. They are largely the same. Same photos (literally), same diagrams, same level of detail. Guess what...they have the same author. The Chilton has larger text, which is why it has more pages. Originally I bought the Haynes manual to repair a faulty electric motor problem and it was sufficient. It was a lot cheaper to do it myself than go to a dealership who wanted to charge me double for the part than I got the part and book from Amazon. The electric window in my Santa Fe stoped working on the driver's side; it is amazing how often you open the windows. My Santa Fe's 6 year/ 60,000 mile warranty recently expired. As a second owner, Hyundai's 10 year /100,000 mile warranty is non-transferrable, so I am on my own. The book was useful in helping me to replace the electric motor in my driver's side window. The book described step by step how to remove parts to access the window motor. I bought the part off of Amazon for about $60...
