Trailer Park Boys Movie got everything right
First off, that sounds like a good plan to make some money Hockey Town Dude. The Boys would be proud, you could make like 10-12 bucks a day from those Ebay Dicks. Not quite enough to keep you in hash, rum and chicken fingers but hey, what's stealin' for? Anyways, one of the charms of this TV show that made it such a popular cult favorite is the low-budget, handheld camera technique. Despite the big budget, hollywood production of the movie it still holds all of that Trailer Park Boys charm.The Boys get oot of jail (kicked oot early, so Ricky can't play goal in the guards vs. inmates ball hockey tournament) and hatch a plan for The Big Dirty, one last heist that will allow them to retire. They're all set to steal vast quantities of change .. why change? Duh .. it's completely untraceable! If Ya Liked the Series; Ya'll Will Luv This Flick!
Just picked this one up the other day. AWESOME!!! If you even liked the TV series even a little bit (and c'mon now - ya gotta love Julian, Ricky and Bubbs!) this is a great laugh. Loved it!! It's was pretty cool to see some Canadian musical talent in the show too!. Alex Lifeson (Rush), Hugh Dillon (Headstones) and Gord Downie (Tragically Hip) play the parts of a cop, club-owner and another cop, respectively.Just crack open the beers, put the feet on the table and get ready to laugh your socks off.Yes, it might be considered to be "low budget" but that truly is one of the magic things about TPB. And, always remember: "A dope trailer is no place for a kitty!"

The right stuff
Fans will not be dissapointed, all your favorite characters are at itagain. The fun continues with this movie, the boys are out of prisonand need to get back to what they do best...Even if you never saw the series, you should enjoy it if you dont mindthe swearing....but it fits the characters.

My favorite Bev Pettersen book so far!
I have read all but one of Ms. Pettersen's books and loved them. However, this one is my favorite so far. Jenna is adorable and a breath of fresh air. I loved her down-to-earthiness. Her love interest, Burke, is a mixture of uptight, kind, steely, sexy, hunky, and also adorable in an alpha-male sort of way that makes one's heart pound. The ending of the book had me breathless and, dang, the battery on my Kindle ran out and I had to recharge it. Anyway, I finished the book with my heart in my throat. Kudos to Ms. Pettersen!

Another Winner
This is romance at it's best.The setting is an equine care facility which in itself was interesting and educational for me.Jenna is an engaging heroine who has overcome her less than stellar upbringing and has found the perfect job as a horse masseuse.She is able to enjoy being with the animals she loves and help her younger sister attain the tools to allow her to move ahead in the world.Jenna has learned her craft by observation and intuition rather than through more traditional means.She personifies resourcefulness however and has acquired the necessary "proof" required to work as a professional.All is fine until the hero arrives!Derek Burke has been sent to find ways to streamline the operating costs of the facility and determine which staff and services are expendable.Top criteria-credentials!OhOh!I loved the play between the main characters and all of the employees at the center.This was one of those books that kept you turning the pages wondering how the...

Great Story
Thoroughbreds and Trailer Trash takes place at an equine wellness facility that is in the middle of a hostile takeover. Burke, an executive, shows up to "flip" the center; he wants to cater to wealthy clients, and hopes to impress them with very qualified staff. Jenna, a talented horse masseuse, gets results, but is self-taught; she didn't even graduate from high school. She can't afford to lose the job; she's putting her little sister through college by herself, so as she gets closer to Burke, she's torn between coming clean and looking after what's most important to her, her sister.I absolutely LOVED Jenna. The girl's completely hilarious! She gets herself into some trouble, but everything that she does is to protect her family, friends, and of course, her elderly pony, Peanut. 100 times better than the 1st.
The first "Trailer Park Boys" the movie felt like a huge sellout. It was a movie that might appeal to people who have never seen the show, or just stupid people that don't notice when a movie obviously has been sidelined by an idiot hollywood producer.This second movie feels alot more like the show. No expensive rock music licensing with slow-mo crap and super happy ending this time around.This second movie features alot of randy and lahey, the unlikely couple that runs the trailer park. They were always part of what made the show good for me, and their characters are back with a huge vengeance. Lahey is more insane than ever before. Unlike the first movie, the hollywood a-holes arent covering up randy's gut the whole time. For long-time fans of the series, that was insulting that they hid his gut the whole movie. A Farewell Note to Trailer Park Boys and it's loyal fans?
It's hard to say bad things about the boys in Canada's beloved pseudo-reality TV series, which ran 7 seasons, not counting the one-off "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys" episode, which preceded this movie chronologically and plot-wise. There was also an Ivan Reitman-produced Trailer Park Boys Movie in 2008 (which didn't quite live up to the madness of the TV episodes).Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles get out of prison and attempt once again, to stay out of prison. To their dismay, times have changed, and Sunnyvale has pretty much been abandoned. Bubbles's kitties are missing, and Lahey is now really off the bottle, swindling his ex-wife Barb out of property and using that deal to create the Lahey Luxury Estates. Unfortunately, the new property's main sewer runs underneath Julian's old trailer, so Lahey now has to plot to obtain Julian's land to complete his new utopia.How is this movie different from the other brilliant Trailer Park Boys TV installments? The only difference between them and you is a coupla drinks.
The tag line prety much sums it up, and like the funniest of jokes, it is so true. Ok so most of us have'nt robbed a bank, but you've thought about it have'nt you?The boys are back, out of jail and wasting no time in resuming thier criminal careers. They quickly come up against a sober Jim Lahey and a home in shambles.Always the entrepeneur, Julian comes up with a plan to put them on easy street, and the hijinks ensue. You have to admire thier tenacity at avioding "real" jobs.Missing in action are the faithfull scapegoats Corey and Trevor, and the star cameo's from the previous film.A fun ride, from the people who put "real" in reality TV.
